Why I Consider My Dad To Be A Hero For Me

Everyone has an accomplishment in their lifetime, but behind it there is always that someone that helped you achieve it. A hero is a person who can face problems with courage and help others in many ways. Also, they can help someone and give them a lot of strength to get them through difficulties that can affect their life. My dad is very important to me. When I was ten years old my dad rescued me from an unhealthy environment. Before I was weeping in my bedroom for hours with my ears covered and fright in my eyes.

He banged down the door with just one kick. The anger on my mother and stepfathers face shift to fright. He pushed them out of the way and opened my bedroom door and packed a bag and we both left. Throughout the process, all that went through my little head was “How did he know?” He came all the way from Texas to Pennsylvania to save his baby girl. My dad will be my one unconditional hero.

My dad grew up in California with my grandma. He played sports, worked part-time jobs and worked hard in school. Every day when he got home from work or school, he helped provide for his family because my grandfather left when he was little. When he was a junior in high school, he saw that his best friend was being bullied by some older kids. Then one day his friend got beaten up. My dad in a blink of an eye was there stopping it. He didn’t care how much trouble he got into, he didn’t want anything terrible happened to the people he cared about. When I was thirteen, I was feeling upset that I was failing almost every class and he comforted me with open arms and told me everything will be ok. He prays for me to grow up and start a new generation for our family. My dad isn’t a national hero or a celebrity, he is a shy and comforting man who would do anything for his family. He may work a lot, but he does it to help us get food, a roof over our heads and a great education. He taught me to just be myself and don’t believe in hatred. God gave me the best father in the world. If it weren’t for my dad I wouldn’t be as successful I am today a young lady about to go to college.
