My Goals To Become A Successful Educationist
It has been my utmost belief that the value of life does not depend solely on the duration of time but on the impact made in the lives of others. Having noticed the gap in the educational system in Nigeria I chose to be part of the solution which is my core motivation for wanting to study education in your institution.
During my undergraduate study, I focused on the field of business administration and management, achieving an amazing scholastic cumulative grade point of 3. 19 on the scale of 4. 00. I was privileged to tutor some of my course mates who needed assistance in some courses, which was where my gradual love for education emanated from. I also had the opportunity to teach while I awaited my national youth service corp posting letter. Coincidentally, during my service year, I was again posted to a school. From that point in time, I knew I had to pursue a career in education. When the federal government came up with the social empowerment program (NPOWER), I opted for the education sector and i was also posted to a government secondary school, where I taught for two years.
The reason I am applying to Boston University is that it comes with a time honored background and history and having learnt about the various opportunities at Boston University, which is not limited to being designed and prepared to be a prek-12 public, independent and international school and higher education administrators.
To education, pursuing an advanced career in this field is not really a challenge but an opportunity. I am looking forward to an opportunity to finally experience that as I strongly believe that the educational leadership and policy study in the prek-12 public concentration in Boston university is my next step in terms of career development. Aside from being a teacher, I plan to mentor intelligent and preserving students who may have a not so worthy background, and also to work as a private tutor for those students who are unfortunate of enrolling to schools. I would be glad to assist students who are willing to be educated but can’t due to lack of finance, and not just would I give me time, i would mentor through the most quality education possible. To inspire others, I plan to make the most out of this practice. This can only be achieved through the Boston university Wheelock college of education and human development, due to its quality output, professional opportunities and well-designed curriculum. It would be such an honour to get admitted into this great institution and I won’t cease to share this dream of mine of being a very successful educationist with your institution and the world at large because a student's success is not solely hers/his but the institution for its formidable foundation.
