My Life In Different Nations Around The Globe
I am twenty-two years old, born in Brazil on the city of Sao Paulo the biggest metropole in the county. Since the day that I was born, many of the activities have happened around my own life and in the lives of people around me that form who I am today. The events are aided by the kind of life that I live in and where I live. I have moved from one country to the another looking for high quality education and satisfaction in life. From Buenos Aires Argentina, I moved to Rome Italy, then in Houston United States and later to Canada in Vancouver, where I live now.
Several questions have joined me in various places. For example, the Argentina educational system due to my performance led me to Italy and while struggling due to the language barrier. Therefore, this document summaries many events that have occurred in my life, challenges and achievements, this events shape who I am today. All the events have taken place in different nations around the world. When I was at age fifteen, I joined international school in Argentina Bueno Aires. I studied there for one months. Though the course that was supposed to have taken one year, the hardships I encountered there made me quit easily, due to lack of motivation. In Italy, the biggest challenge was the language barrier. It was so difficult to communicate with the Italians since they did not understand English. The other challenge was the school’s customs.
The customs of the international school in Italy made my study there impossible. They made me all homesick. I missed everyone back in brasil and all I wanted was to go back home. After I gave up my studies in Italy, I went to Houston in pursuit of further studies. In the united states, I chose to study English as a second language at my classes during high school. The students in Houston were so friendly. Therefore, I made many friends of such diversity in culture, faith and backgrounds. However, after seven months I went back to brasil to join high school. After I finished my high school in Sao Paulo, I travelled back to Houston last year. The purpose this time around was to finish my English courses after which I pursue a diploma in business. I had made a couple of friends in United States and the fact that these people were so warm, friendly and welcoming, Houston gives me a sense of belonging. It feels like my second hometown. It happens that I am attached to Houston more than I am to my friends back in brasil. After I finished my course in Houston, I travelled to Canada to search for a job and to join a good university, it was the university of British Columbia, I’m my view the best university in the whole world.
Many factors made my decision of study abroad. However, one of the major factors was the poor education system in brasil. The education system in brasil was poorly organized and was not in favor of the English course that was of my interest. The Brazilin society believes say that the only way to be successful in life is through university. In my opinion, there was no such a good university in brazil or quality education given the fact that I was the top performing student in all my class. As a teenager, I was so pessimistic about my life and future in Brazil. I never saw anything good for me there and my desire was to go abroad for higher education. Through the events of moving from one country to another and from one school to another I have learn a lot. Even though it was costly, it gave me important many lessons in my life. I thought life would be better abroad but that was a wrong perception. The reason being I had not put into consideration factors such as language barrier, different cultures, and customs among others. Though many things have happened to me at an early age am not scared of studying and living overseas as currently am in Canada. I am doing quite well and have many friends.
