A Life-changing Encounter: Personal Experience
I chose to write about my most memorable experience essay as I have what to say. So, my most memorable experience was when I rode the world’s tallest swing ride. A swing ride is a huge swing and carousel that sways your seat outward. This thrilling ride called the Star Flyer, can be found in Orlando, Florida at ICON park. It is surprisingly towering at four hundred fifty feet, goes fifty miles per hour and is taller than its neighboring Ferris wheel called Orlando Eye. This ride was the most memorable experience in my life because it was phenomenal when I felt like I was flying high up in the sky, exhilarating because it gave me an adrenaline rush that made me feel amazing, and lastly it was mortifyingly fun.
When the Star Flyer began to go slowly up, my heart was pounding as fast as a hummingbird’s wings. Without a warning, the swing began to suspend away from the top of the swing ride and began to rotate around in a three hundred sixty degree circle that was going fifty miles per hour. At that moment, I felt like I was flying so high that I thought I was a superhero; a superhero that could soar through the sky. When a gust of chilly wind slapped my face, my mouth and cheeks began to wiggle as if they were dancing and melting like ice cream. I had been laughing so much, my face began to hurt but, felt good at the same time. This feeling made me realize that the ride was both enjoyable and frightening.
As I swung around in the air I got this energetic surge within my muscles and a tingling sensation in my body. It felt as if my body was being drowned in something that made me tremble out of fear and excitement. I then realized it was an adrenaline rush. A rush of hormones was being released into my body. I could feel the hairs on my neck dance as anxiousness took over me. My hands and legs were shaking like leaves in the wind, but my stomach wasn’t exactly agreeing with me. Consequently, my stomach began to tingle and twist which made me feel a little bilious and nauseated. But this nauseating feeling also made me realize that it was the best and worst thing to experience on the most thrilling and exciting ride.
Oh my gosh! I screamed out loud as my seat was so tilted to the side. I felt like I was going to slip out of my seat. At that moment, I thought I was on the brink of my death. Yet, I was riding the tallest swing ride in the world! I saw the entire aerial view of Orlando. People and vehicles were as tiny as ants. Passengers in front of me had their hands up shaking them about. One of those passengers was my sister who was also shaking her hands but not as her having fun. She was also having a terrifying time riding the Star Flyer. But, I wasn’t going to shake my arms like a crazy person and become bilious. At that point, I realized that even if I was swinging so high up in the sky, I was still having fun and by that, I meant, dire and mortifying fun! Swinging on the Star Flyer, wasn’t like an ordinary swing ride. It was the most terrifying and exhilarating thing I had ever experienced in my life.
In conclusion, going on the Star Flyer, the tallest swing ride in the world, was an unforgettable experience. It was beyond anything you could imagine in your entire life. I got to experience how an adrenaline rush felt which felt amazing, sitting and swinging in a seat that was tilted to the side, which was very terrifying and enjoyable and I got to experience how swinging so high up in the sky made me feel like an extraordinary person. Some people wouldn’t dare to go on a ride that is four hundred fifty feet tall. But once, you ride the Star Flyer, it will be the most defying, daring, and fun ride you will ever ride. If you are a dare-devil I recommend you go on this terrifying and thrilling Star Flyer!
