My Motivation To Become An Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer

The invention and development of aircraft is the most important technical development of twentieth-century where the progress of the Aviation industry has been massive where various issues that are challenging for the engineers of today. I am captivated by the modern process of aircraft design and manufacturing, followed in the aerospace industry.

I hope to obtain Professional Engineering status by attending McMaster University, which will significantly increase my career prospects and allow me to pursue a job in the aerospace manufacturing industry. Passion in the aviation industry comes from my father who is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer himself and being very happy with his career. I used to visit his hangar frequently to see the aeroplanes. Looking at the engineers working on the plane made me understand the actual difficulties of the job. My father was the one who introduced me to machines like aircraft hydraulic system, gas turbine engine, landing gear, flight controls, and aircraft electrical systems. It indeed initiated in me a desire to know more about how these machines manufactured and the reason behind their accurate and precise functioning. Also, my numerous visits to the aerospace manufacturing industries allowed me to retain my deep interest in manufacturing engineering, and I believe this is one of the reasons why I want to pursue my masters in manufacturing engineering.

I have completed an advanced diploma in aeronautical engineering and Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering. I consider myself to be a good team player, self-motivated and passionate about challenges. With a high level of technical and analytical thinking, I am a proven technical problem solver who can analyze, interpret and evaluate data and come up with new ideas. In my second year of a group project at Emirates Aviation University, I choose to design a hydrogen-powered aircraft. The challenge was to produce electricity with the help of fuel cell which uses hydrogen gas to power the propulsion of the aircraft. It has taught me essential skills such as teamwork, planning, commitment, and problem-solving. The subject the most interests me is the design of the plane where I have learned how to optimize the performance of the aircraft which helped me a lot in my final year project. The project was to design and manufacture the working gyrocopter and to analyze its aerodynamics and flight characteristics. The project was successful which was well received and appreciated by department professors and Head of Department as well. I always looked to broaden my knowledge base reading relevant books on manufacturing engineering. This led me to become invested in such dynamic concepts, that I learned from engineering books and online resources, as Product design for manufacture and assembly, Manufacturing operations and how these have changed the way products are built, resources are managed and demands are met with product monitoring and quality control. I can learn quickly and adapt to the changes. I have technical and computer-aided skills which I have developed during the course in my project where I have created 3D models before choosing the final design for my project. I am a member of Quora and have written many answers and asked many questions regarding aviation. Together with my background, my extensive knowledge in aviation and aerospace industry, and with the chance you provide, I believe I can unlock my potential to become a successful aerospace manufacturing engineer.

One of the reasons I choose to pursue my master’s degree in North American country is that the quality of Canadian education. A Canadian degree is widely known and systematically had best in international rankings there’s no doubt that Canadian education is best. Another reason is that the cost of living in the North American country is seriously cheap compared to most alternative prime destinations for international students. Once combining the typical yearly cost of living and average annual tuition fees, North American country is the foremost cheap choice.

I even have ended that the master’s in engineering program offered by McMaster University is excellently structured to match my needs as I want to expand my knowledge on manufacturing and designing. I believe learning in McMaster University with advanced facilities; experienced faculty members and appropriate atmosphere are necessities to attain new heights in life. Attending McMaster University will provide me with the rare opportunity of being surrounded by individuals who share the same interests and ambitions where ideas can discuss and significantly improved and devise practical solutions for the betterment of society.
