My Potential To Become An Expert In The Field Of Cybersecurity

I, personally, am keen on becoming a part of the cybersecurity industry, after completing my undergraduate degree. My future plans are to obtain a post graduate degree specializing in STEM field of cybersecurity. For the next five years I will remain focused on my academic and then professional education. In the next ten years I expect to have approximately 4-5 years of experience in the competitive technology related industry. With hands on experience of 5 years in my field of expertise I will be a proficient professional in the field of cybersecurity. In this time, I see myself growing as a cybersecurity analyst, with strong technical and business skills to further enhance my growth.

I see myself as an expert and an entrepreneur in the cybersecurity field twenty years from now. With 15 years of experience in the field, I expect to use my leadership qualities and experience to become a successful entrepreneur. I realize that having goals and a well drafted plan for a successful career is not the same as having achieved them. In order to achieve these goals I intend to work hard with motivation and determination. I have planned on following my passion and dedicating myself to achieve my goals. Moreover, I plan on attending boot camps and other classes for gaining additional skills and increasing my involvement with wide array of professional associations. Immediately after completing my post graduate degree I plan on working as an assistant cybersecurity analyst to hone my skills, while advancing internally in my job for the next few years. I want to participate in the Goldman Sachs Local College Collaborative, a program perfect for goal-oriented students like myself. This program offers a platform to develop my skills as a potential leader while improving other skills including networking and analytical thinking for a successful career.

In order to succeed in this field and become an expert in cybersecurity, I require classroom lectures as well as insights to existing problems and solutions being implemented to resolve them. Therefore, I need continuous exposure to proficient professionals, which also creates an opportunity for experiential learning.
