My Time to My Community Essay
One of the happiest moments in humans’ life is when a goal is accomplished perfectly, however most of us give up at the beginning, in the middle or near the end because we found it so hard and sometimes impossible to gain what we have started. I have always wished to gain satisfaction from life by dedicating my time to a cause that I feel passionate about. Serving my community, in particular, gives me a great opportunity to demonstrating what I can, get to understand better what people needs and what we can do when holding hands together which all describes what I am passionate about. This is my community essay where I'm goign to share my story.
At the end of my high school, I visited a village nearby hometown people in the area are vulnerable people and should be take care of fortunately, they are living in area where their soil (travertine) is fertile and can be added in other soil type for example acidic soil in addition of the travertine became fertile, it is additive to animal feeds and used in other commercial activities. After making observation, I corporated with econome limited an eco-friendly company that care ecosystem and maintain the environment especially extract travertine, so they measured the soil and found that it is 100% travertine, so asked to work with them but my goal was to help people in the village to sell the soil not the land so that they earn money that they will use to improve sanitation and their standards of living, I was given to assist the work done on field. Among my commitments to community services, joining econome limited influenced my character and behavior in a positive way that allowed me to feel comfortable and proud of my accomplishments.
In community serving, one of the accomplishments that I am proud of is the work I did to help the local people that econome limited was working with, fight and vanish the diseases that was led by keeping and storing the travertine (limestone) a type of soil that they were extracting in their field. As econome limited, the most important goal set was eco-friendly activities to be done. I worked together with the help of local people and we build a tent and a big store nearby their homes where they should keep the products each of them extracted and everyone marked the sack in order to avoid cheating and stealing. This activity was really important because if I could not take a decision earlier to get a new store people would have suffered from diseases led by unhygienic actions, their kids would be the most victim of what their parents were up to and at last the government could have stopped the company’s actions to take place due to setting the goals and rules though not following them and putting in action. Additionally, it was a pleasure to see people working with me when they are clean and safe from diseases and uncleanliness, working together and storing in the same store made them trust each other, take care of one another and know what was missing to fulfill their work which was done by the whole team of local community that econome limited was working with.
Throughout my time of serving the community, I had a big opportunity to generate and reinforce my ideas that already existed, and develop a new set of skills as another fortune. By helping the local people made me realize that there is nothing like approaching people that may be affected by actions being led by big people (companies) which made me more empathic towards the innocent local community that could suffer at the end. This change improved my flexibility, empathy, sociality and patience where I had more unique experience that allowed me face the next challenges in the future. Afterwards, I realized that helping the community was not a burden or an obligation but helping myself because it was the only way to cherish my ability to influence and have a positive impact towards others.
To conclude my community essay sample, working at econome limited has been a great experience. By approaching the local community, I became more empathetic, become more social, I gained had work and courage with patience. My interest in leadership has deepened which is not leading people but approaching them and decide positively what can improve lives together, and I am looking forward to study in a university that will help me to socialize and strengthen my leadership skills.
