My Views On Ford And Kavanaugh Hearing
It's obvious to me who on Facebook actually bothered to watch the Ford/Kavanaugh hearing and who did not. It's obvious to me, the people who actually care about Ford's allegation and those who are just using this as a means to prove their political biases.
Day one of Kavanaugh's hearing the Democrats has been pushing to pause the confirmation. (And I mean that literally if you see the first minute of the hearing you can hear people yelling about delaying the hearing) Ford’s testimony wasn't meant to be a partisan hearing but because it's American politics it was inevitable that it became just that. I have a lot of people who hate Republican on my facebook, specifically hating any men who so much as breathe, which is fine. You can have your own opinion, just don't be ignorant about it. I have a lot of people on my page posting this pictures of Ford and what she was facing during her testimony (a picture of an all white men group in the room. Specifically people are pointing out how they are Republicans). But if they even bothered to see the hearing and did a little research they would know that the committee which questioned Ford included, 21 senators, 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats. Because of the nature of this hearing and how this looks like to others, Republican opted to hire an outside female lawyer, Rachel Mitchell- who specifically deal with sex crimes- to question Ford in their place.
The Democrats, however, decided to question Ford themselves. And by questioning I mean give their biased opinion regarding the sexual allegation case. A great example would be Richard Blumenthal. During Blumenthal's "Questioning" He asked Ford how SHE wanted the investigation to go forth and he went on to say how "serious and credible" her accusation was without even knowing the full story from both sides, and without any evidence at all from Ford. Then eagerly said "well it's not up to you it's up to the president of the United States, and HIS failure to ask for an FBI investigation" There was a lot of accusation going around about how they didn't to an FBI investigation knowing full well why. The reason there wasn't an FBI investigation then was because Judge Grassley found out about the sexual allegation September 13. That's TWO months after Senator Diane Feinstein and Congresswoman Anne Eshoo found out about it on the 30th of July.
During those 2 months before Kavanaugh's hearing, Kavanaugh met privately with 65 senators for questioning, this included Feinstein who knew about this issue, yet she has not bothered to ask him about the allegations. There was a 4-day public hearing, and 13 hundred written questions asked by the Senate, yet none regarding this matter. Despite their none blase attitude regarding this information, the day BEFORE Kavanaugh was supposed to be confirmed, suddenly the information was "leaked". And I say "leaked" because only 3 people knew about this allegation. Again if judge Grassley knew about this information when Feinstein and Eshoo found out about it then there would've been enough time to do an FBI investigation before the confirmation. There’s a lot I have to say regarding this matter. But I will say now, that I won’t dismiss Ford’s allegation against Kavanaugh just as well as I won’t accuse Brett Kavanaugh of doing this without a thorough FBI investigation.
Both life and credibility have been ruined because of this allegation and I’m absolutely disgusted how people are using her serious allegation and pretend to care about this woman as a means in which they get to discredit Kavanaugh or because they hate the president and white men and anyone who doesn’t agree with their way of thinking.
