Our Family Values: A Narrative Journey Through Generations
As the aspect of life that many strive for is a prosperous and content family. Like many people who have been in a family, I value this and, this remains true despite my experience living whining varying family structure. In our family values is that I consist that the certain actions and qualities that are important in my family to uphold. In narrative essay about family I want to share what values are the most important within my family.
The values that are important in my family are honest, trust, and to have respect for others. Growing up in my family they taught me that honesty is the best policy. They tell us that to be honest all the time, because when you have a problem, they won’t know unless you will tell them, so that they can help you. Not just to them, but also to the other people to. To tell honest is the best feeling why? Because when you tell the truth on how are you feeling, and through honest to other people is somewhat you help them.
Respect is the most important value to be taught when growing up, my family taught me to respect other people because, when you respect other people they will respect you back. They told me that, how you will treat other people, is how they will treat you back, so if you want to respected, respect other people first. My family told us that respect to other people is not just to show that how good are you in other people. It is who you really are, because respecting other people is somewhat reflecting on who you are inside, not who you in the outside. And when you treat other with respect not just because many people are looking, when you respect someone with or without someone looking, respect other people because it is the right thing to do. And my family told us that no matter happened, even other people doesn’t respect us in return, still we need to show that we respect them.
Manners also is important some people lose their manners especially when in front of food and eating. Because there are some people are more on focus on gadget, they more on prioritize their games than food and eat first. My family teach us when it comes to food and time to eat we need to stop whatever we are doing, and prioritize first the blessing, because food is a blessing that God give us. So we need to prioritize God than anything else. And also manners for other people, manners for older than you to show some respect. And also they teach us on how to appreciate and be thankful of everything we have because, there are some people that we have something that they don’t have. And also they told us to be contented on what we have, and don’t be jealous when someone have something that you don’t have because, someday you will have or you will have it more than you will expected.
There are so many things that my family teach us about values, and sometimes we just ignore it but, later on we realize that they are true. Because sometimes when someone told us something, sometimes don’t believe it unless we experience it or we saw it in our own eyes. And my mother and father said do not do something to others when you don’t want them do it to you, and also they said be a good model to the other people. They always remind us to do nicely to others, even there is no return. Because doing something good to others there is no return.
