Love is intense and life changing experience. Some of them believe in true love, while others claim that it’s a deep, unconditional feeling. Sounds disproportionate, right? Love is one of the best feelings in the world. It is an emotion and expression that everyone understands, no matter who you are, what your culture is, or what language you speak. We dream about it, we write about it, we worry about it. According to what I’ve read, we search for love when we don’t have it, when we discover it, we don’t know what to do with it, when have it, we fear losing it.
Everyone has their own definition of love. We have our own way of showing and expressing it. But nowadays, social media, and our society seems to dominate what love is and how should we express it. Before, love was so simple. Love is all about consistency, faith and respect. It is not about grand gestures, it was about the little things. Like giving actual thoughts into gifts, homemade lunch and dinner, solving every problem together, and giving real efforts to make your relationship alive. But now, love is way too complicated. It’s all about what is “trendy”. ”What are trendy gifts for your girlfriend?”, “places that is cool for first date”, “A sweet letter for your lover”. The Love today has so many rules about what can and can’t be said or done. Love should be straight forward. It is not a game. People shouldn’t be held back because of the “rules” that the society created. Love is about being vulnerable in front of those you truly care about.
Love, is an emotion that devours everything. An emotion that is more dominant than the rest. A feeling that makes one feel invincible. One time, I came to my realization that love isn’t just a happy place, but can be a warzone, place of despair, a place of loss. This emotion makes the smart dumb, the brave coward, the witty foolish, thus hell of an emotion reverses the entire human nature of a person from the way we talk, to the way we move, to the way we think, love can manipulate it. It such a cruel emotion that it brings pain and suffering to all men and women all around the world. But I remember that it wasn’t me who was describing love, that was my broken heart. Because it felt so used up, so torn, so left out, cold. Because once a heart is broken, it will never be the same. But I remain, I still think that love is a place of serenity. I will always love no matter how much I have to bargain - that is why I chose to write love topic essay. I am willing to take every risk because if I learned anything in all my heart aches, that is love is all about taking risks.
