Responsibilities of a Teenager: Personal View and Experience
As a young adolescent, I never really took into consideration all of the responsibilities of life. I took it all lightly and never took into consideration just how significant these trivial tasks would motivate me and impact my life. From pedaling to school, to now attending classes and trying to acquire a better future, life really does teach you many lessons, and all of these are applicable for my past and future. In this responsibilities of a teenager essay I want to share my viewpoint that is based on personal experience, the viewpoint of about being a responsible adolescent.
When i was 15, I always whined at having to attend school, abide by my parents rules and have to go to work, that was the least of my worries. All I ever wanted was to go out and not worry about any other activities that did not include fun, recklessness or irresponsibility. To me, it all seemed so easy and i doubted it would ever be that difficult to get through life, it was all so easily attainable i never felt the need to strive for better.
As i grew older, I came to realize that you really do have to push yourself, take initiative and aim for success. No matter how small the task may be, completing it makes you feel accomplished. The responsibilities i have now have shaped me into the individual i am now. I now attend school, work several shifts throughout the week, have to pick up my sister from school, and have to take care of my own economic needs, these new responsibilities have shown me to take initiative of what i want to obtain, that I am not solely responsible for my education, but to ensure that my sister has that as well
Over the course of the years, I’ve grown and come to realize that these tasks, as trivial and meaningless as they may seem, serve a greater purpose. The tasks I had to complete as a 15 year old taught me the significance of self sustainability, I have to be able to take care of myself to further ensure my financial stability and secure my future, I need to be able to complete small task such as cleaning dishes, sweeping, or cleaning in order to understand other things like what to do in my work environment. These small tasks are fundamental, fundamental to me further learning other concepts like taxes, paying for insurance, and more in my near future. All of this hard work pays off and further motivates me to progress and to strive for better.
