Sex Trafficking Must Be Stopped

Sex trafficking is human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, including sexual slavery. Sexual slavery is attaching the right of ownership over one or multiple people with the intent of coercing. The human sex trafficking is a serious global issue that needs the awareness of the society and the police. The United Nations Office for Drugs and Crimes identifies human trafficking as “an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring, or receiving a person through a use of force”. We need to save our people from having to deal with these problems and fight for their rights to be free again.

Sex trafficking has been apart of the world globally since the movement of women in the 1980s. Women and children has been the victims of sex trafficking for millions of years .

The purpose was to 'prevent the procuration of women and girls for immoral purposes . There were alot of women and children that expressed how they felt the first time they were taken against their will and being used for money . They hated it and they felt so low of themselves, they felt as if there life was over .

The age limits of sex trafficking starts at thirteen and progressed from there . Sex trafficking is 90% female. California, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida are some major landmarks where sex trafficking has occurred . The prices of sex trafficking varys from the men and the age of the women that they sale to others.

The reason I chose sex trafficking was because it is the biggest problem that our society is having today . Here are a few examples of how outrageous sex trafficking has gotten between 1980-2018. Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the United states each year . There are approximately 20 to 30 million slaves in the world today. Lastly, Human trafficking is the third largest international crime industry behind illegal drugs and arms trafficking.

Some causes of trafficking are social and political factors . There is also something called Domestic Minor sex trafficking. It occurs when united state citizens or lawful permanent residents minor are commercially sexually exploited. There has been a lot of deaths from this sex trafficking lately .

Sex trafficking is not a thing that should be taken lightly by anyone , we really need to help these people. Some people have started groups and had community centers to avoid and help others get free from there sex trafficking experience in there life .

A story that happened in the united states with a lady named Cyntoia Brown and how she was involved in sex trafficking at and early age. She was only 16 when she was sold to jimmy allen, he took her home and used her as his sex slave. As she laid there next to him she wanted to get free, she shot him in the head, rob him and she ran away . Cyntoia didn't mean to hurt him, she even said that his life mattered. A couple of things cyntoia mentioned about her being a victim of sex trafficking was that she was told she wasn't good enough for anyone so she was made to be a sex slave . She also talked about being abused emotionally and physically daily by a man she once thought loved her. Lastly cyntoia mentioned that she hurt the families and she has carried that burden for 14 years and she was pleading to have a second chance at life so she could fulfill her goal after she was released from prison .

Cyntoia said that when she gets released from prison she wants to help younger children and women that has been involved with sex trafficking . Brown expressed her personal feelings about her early release date and knew exactly what she wanted to do to change her life around. She promised the jury that she would never kill again because people matter.

Some death that's from sex trafficking has been very cruel . Some of the women were like cyntoia and ran away to men they thought love them and then turns away and sales them as sex slaves for money to other men. Sex trafficking and sex slaving is real and needs to be stopped . Approximately 40. 3 million people were held against their will in 2016. The majority of victims — 24. 9 million people — were held in forced labor. And 15. 4 million were forced into marriage.

There was another story about a lady named Karla Jacinto and how she raped 43,200 times by sex traffickers . She said up to 30 men a day, seven days a week, for the best part of four years is how long she was used as a sex slave. Her story highlights the brutal realities of human trafficking in Mexico and the United States, an underworld that has destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of Mexican girls like Karla.

Human trafficking has become a trade so lucrative and prevalent, that it knows no borders and links towns in central Mexico with cities like Atlanta and New York. U. S. and Mexican officials both point to a town in central Mexico that for years has been a major source of human trafficking rings and a place where victims are taken before being eventually forced into prostitution. The town is called Tenancingo. Karla had some things to share , she said she was abused for as long as she can remember and felt rejected by her mother. I came from a dysfunctional family. I was sexually abused and mistreated from the age of 5 by a relative. When she was 12 she was targeted by a trafficker who lured her away using kind words and a fast car. Karla was waiting her on friends near a subway station as a when a little boy selling sweets came up to her, telling her somebody was sending her a piece of candy as a gift. Five minutes later, Karla says, an older man was talking to her, telling her that he was a used car salesman. The initial awkwardness disappeared as soon as the man started telling her that he was also abused as a boy. He was also very affectionate and quite a gentleman, she says. They exchanged phone numbers and when he called a week later, Karla says she got excited. He asked her to go on a trip to nearby Puebla with him and dazzled her by showing up driving a bright red Firebird Trans Am. 'When I saw the car I couldn't believe it. I was very impressed by such a big car”. It was exciting for me. He asked me to get in the car to go places, and then she stated after that it was all red flags. Karla said that after she moved in with him he was treating her right, buying her things , and even respected her . Then a couple of months later his cousins were in and out of the house with different women and karla asked why . Later that day her boyfriend told her she was going to be in different places with different men and she was going to have to have sex with them for money . karla was scared and did not know what to do .

The stories that i have shared are serious stories n and these young women will never forget them for as long as they live . They need facilities so that they may help younger girls and even boys get away and be free again. If you do not want anyone like Cynotia and Karla we should speak up and get people out helping these young ladies and men .
