Social Media As Agent Of Civilization
Social Media is an agent of passivity It is for this reason that the definition of culture as the knowledge of the best that has been said and done, is so dangerous by reason of its omission. It omits the great fact that in their day the great achievements of the past were the adventures of the past. Only the adventurous can understand the greatness of the past. In its day, the literature of the past was an adventure.
It means that, to define the culture of one society is based on the adventure that they have done because this is the thing that one society is improved or processing to better society. In modern era, social media are prominent in each individual, everyone has a gadget and one can say that in the modern era “you are not civilized if you have no gadget in your house or in your life”. Nowadays, you don’t have to ask someone so much about themselves. If you really want to know much about someone’s personality, background, and ambitions, all you have to do is enter their name online and scroll through such individual’s profile. The future of technology is even more interesting than what is happening right now.
In few years, we will be talking about driverless cars and robots working in factories. However, let’s focus on highlighting the ways technology has changed our lives. For example, communication, there are lots of devices today that have come about through other technological advancements that are enormously important in daily life. Most people own PC computers, tablets, and smartphones to communicate easily across different platforms. In the past, man need had to write a letter to communicate with someone. The letter could even take days before it was delivered. Man also had to trace the letter to see if it had been sent to and received by the appropriate person. Errors were not uncommon as well.
However, there is no such phenomenon today — science and technology have made sure of this. All you have to do if you want to communicate with someone in society today is to send them a message on social media or put a call through. Social media change the way to communicate and make it easy to everyone. In this context, social media put to us the idea of easy communication even though one individual is in the house. The real interaction in the real world is gradually faded and it will be soon, no man can talk to each other, they just put their attention to their gadget and social media account.
Social Media is a purposeless adaptation agent. Thus, in every civilization at its culmination we should find a large measure of realization of a certain type of perfection. There is a type of perfection will be complex that several of detail to understand before to get the idea or realization. Social media has a lot of information that users become aware in the world issue. But, there are some issue or news are not reliable source because there are some users that they wanted to do is to create a fake news. Fake news is. There are some people easily to believe because there is no more motivation to research it or to think who is the author of the news. they think it is reliable because all in the social media is true. It does not appear to be perfect accordance to its purpose. News must be acceptable and reliable to others because people now are easily to believe in something. Also, it does not culminate to a large measure of realization of certain perfection. There is no realization at all from this, fake news spread every day in social media. There must be a moral lesson or something to get in the news that can be improved the life of individual or one society.
Social Media is a superficial play agent. In other words, in the place of a quality of ‘life and motion, there is substituted their destruction. Thus, Peace is the removal of inhibition and not its introduction. It results in a wider sweep of conscious interest. It enlarges the field of attention. Thus, Peace is self-control at its widest at the width where the ‘self has been lost, and interest has been transferred to co-ordinations wider than personality. Here the real motive interests of the spirit are meant, and not the superficial play of discursive ideas. Peace is helped by such superficial width, and also promotes it.
Over the years, technology has revolutionized our perspective of the world. Technology has created amazing tools and resources, putting each person’s most useful information at their fingertips. Modern technology has made it possible for the discovery of many functional and utility devices like the smartwatch and the smartphone. With all of these revolutions, technology has also made our lives easier, faster, better and more fun.
Every human who lives in the western world has experienced how technology has changed their life. Man might not encompass the massive change because technology made a gradual transformation in lives of individual. Social media is being used in ways that shape politics, business, world culture, education, careers, innovation, and more. Each person in social media with marginal views can see that one person is not alone. And when these people find one another via social media, they can do things — create memes, publications and entire online worlds that bolster their worldview, and then break into the mainstream. Without social media, social, ethical, environmental and political ills would have minimal visibility. Increased visibility of issues has shifted the balance of power from the hands of a few to the masses.
Social media is slowly killing real activism and replacing it with ‘slacktivism’. While social media activism brings an increased awareness about societal issues, questions remain as to whether this awareness is translating into real change. Social sharing has encouraged people to use computers and mobile phones to express their concerns on social issues without actually having to engage actively with campaigns in real life.
