Sweets Shop As Business Idea

My business idea is a sweets shop which I will be selling different types of candies such as sour patch, skittles, jellybeans and more sweets and maybe some chocolate bar as well.

The idea for this business came from the fact everyone likes sweets and especially children and young people. Some of the old-fashioned sweets from many years ago are now coming back into fashion and I intend to sell these in my shop. The name of the shop is going to be called “Hawar’s sweet shop”. I got the name idea from my name and the fact is the business is going to selling sweets, so I decided that name for my business idea.

My deal customer will be everyone special children, teenagers and Adults people can buy sweets for gifts or their kids.

My unique selling point for my shop will be selling halal sweets so Muslim people can buy sweets too so that mean more customer. I will have a special offer for a special occasion e.g. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Eid and more. I will be buying them and reselling in my shop.

I will find a wholesaler to buy my stock item from At Appleton Sweets which they stock a range of wholesale halal approved confectionery. This is produced by a wide variety of sweet manufacturers. All the items in this category are certified. This means I can offer my customers their favourite’s treats, while still meeting strict dietary requirements. They are making sure that all their halal sweets are approved by the official board. Appleton Sweets now have a wide selection of halal candy products available.

The location of my shop idea that I have chosen is near Shopping Centre Preston which I think this is the right location for my customers because there is big Population Demographics and every day a lot of people goes city centre for shopping. And it’s much easier for customers to visit my shop because it is near the bus station and there are more other shops near my shop e.g. B&M, flower shop and more. Also, the cost of rent is affordable because there will be a lot of people visiting my shop.

My competition for my business ideas in the Preston will Mr Simms olde sweet Shoppe because it’s like my business ideas which I need to make sure I stay ahead of my competitors. My business idea will be a success because I will be a focus on providing good Customer Service for my customers. After all, many successful businesses forget that providing great customer service is important and If I provide better service for my customers, they'll be more inclined to come to my shop the next time they need something instead of going to my competition. Also building Word of Mouth for my Business.

My business idea start-up cost will be around £25,000 because I will need different requirements to run the business. Things that the business need for shop for example stocks, computer, and equipment’s, Rent and deposit etc. I would make around £26,000 per year because I have found information online about the sweet shop which candy shop owners made £27,000 per year in 2019.
