Katherine Evelyn Anita Cassidy was born on the 25th day of November 1986 in LA California, her dad David Cassidy was a 1970s pop star and her mum Sherry Williams worked as a top model. After her parent’s divorce, he mother got married to Richard Benedon and thus she got half siblings like; Jamie, Beau and Jenna along the line. Katie has other famous relatives like Shaun Cassidy who is a television producer and Patrick Cassidy who works as an actor.
She went to Calabasas High School and took lessons in gymnastics, singing, piano, guitar, dancing and acting as a child. On the long run, she became a Cheerleader for the California Flyers, but before her high school graduation in 2005, the rising star was already modeling and attending acting classes majoring in community theater. The talented Katie was already on the catwalk before venturing into acting, her modelling career took off with Abercrombie and Fitch, but she made her acting debut on the set of the 2006 horror movie titled When a Stranger Calls. That same year, Katie was featured in a second horror movie titled Black Christmas and between 2007 to 2008, she was seen portraying the character of Ruby in the third season of Supernatural which is a horror series, the year 2009 saw the actress on the set of another horror series popularly known as Harper’s Island where she was cast in the leading role. Katie was featured in yet another horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street which hit the big screen in 2010.
