The Impact Of Badminton On Human

Badminton is a well-known, challenging, and thrilling sport that ever existed in the universe throughout the centuries, with people look forward to witnessing skilled players, stunning rallies, and superb matches at world championships between countries. It is a sport that continues to expand, influence, and was embraced by different cultures of several nations.

With this in mind, I can hardly deny the impact of this sport on certain individuals. For some, badminton is just a sport as simple as played by two or four players using a racket to catch a shuttlecock over a net, and whoever failed or missed to serve or received the shuttlecock wins a point. But what these people were unable to think about is the hardship, consistency, focus, persistence, determination, strenuous exercises, shrewd mind, strategic attacks, and calculative skillsets of the players to aggregate and execute during their tournaments. And as I watched the video of one of the world men's single longest badminton rallies with 108 shots, the characteristics that I have mentioned earlier were deliberately shown by both players. As shown in the match footage, the game's starting point was quite impressive, where Nguyen of Vietnam standing firm and resilient against Jorgensen's of Denmark serving. Both players managed to stabilize the game in the first few shots, but Nguyen continued to give smashes as an attack to Jorgensen, but Jorgensen managed to ace his attacks and save the shuttlecock. After some time, the two players became competitive, challenged, executed their rapid stimuli, developed remarkable stamina, and stayed concentrated amid loud cheers of the audience. However, Nguyen performed a hard smash, which is one of the hardest and difficult tricks in badminton to defend when executed well – but the shuttlecock landed outside the court, earning Jorgensen a point. Hence, badminton can be as easy as serving and receiving the shuttlecock successfully. It can, however, be as complex, hard, challenging, intriguing, powered, and stimulating as a real game, match, or tournament between players.

In my perspective, the players' will-power to win and play the game seamlessly, but perplexing with their striking determination, drive, and impetus, will keep them on track and perform at their best abilities. The skillsets executed by the players require a lot of time, effort, commitment, confidence, and courage to attain, maintain, and strategize those skills. And at this phase in my life, I am still at a low level, and I am no match for both players even though I used to play this sport. Furthermore, what they taught me captivated me by what they have shown me, and it is because it is a world record. It may be beaten, but it will always remain in the history of badminton.
