The Issue Of Traffic Blockage In Uae
Traffic blockage isn't basically an issue, but instead the answer for our fundamental portability issue, which is that such a large number of people need to move at similar occasions every day. Why? Since productive task of both the economy and educational systems necessitates that individuals work, go to class, and even run errands amid about that hours so they can cooperate with one another. That fundamental prerequisite can't be modified without devastating our economy and society. A similar issue exists in each real metropolitan region on the planet.
Traffic in general, is the vehicles proceeding onward an open roadway. One of the biggest issues in the UAE is the traffic jam and the number of accidents that occurred the past few years are increasing year after year accordingly. There are many reasons that may cause a ‘’Traffic jam’’, and many people don’t focus on the small things that can lead to big jams/accidents in the future. The issue of traffic is a very important issue to keep everyone safe and make everyone lives easier because it really helps to save life and secure a better future. The importance of that issue in the UAE could even been more than on other countries because traffic in the UAE is becoming one of the biggest and few issues that really cause deaths and lead to a worse economical development. According to the Dubai statistics center:’’There there were 2496 Accidents in 2014 and 2189 in 2016’’. That statistic showed that the amount of accidents in the uae aren’t on the correct path of decreasing. It is highly important to talk about this issue for several reasons considering that it is one of the leading causes of accidents. People should work together to try and raise awareness about this subject because there are many alternative solutions that people can do to avoid this huge issue. After a small research made by our group we found so many new information about the traffic jam in the UAE. 30 out of 50 people stated that their optimal waiting time due to traffic jam is 30 to 45 minutes. This issue stated by the people is actually affecting everyone works because they are usually late for their work and because some of them actually lose their job due to that or they try another way of speeding up and crossing the speed limit which might cause accidents that are sometimes fatal or can cause them to lose a lot of money due to the fines.
Traffic congestions and jams are a problem that the entire world is addressing and is in a rush to find a solution to resolve the issue. The UAE is undeniably 1 of the many countries looking into this issue deeply looking for alternatives or ways to help out. Traffic congestions can cause numerous accidents and being stuck in traffic can waste valuable time. According to Waheed Abbas (2018) “Dubai motorists spent 29 hours in traffic congestions in 2017”. The UAE is trying to encourage its citizens to use other means to get to their destination, the government introduces other viable alternatives to cars to try to cut on the number of vehicles on the road. The UAE government is always preaching about the importance of public transportation. Citizens of the UAE are also encouraged to get to their destinations in a healthier method by walking or cycling as many bicycle outposts are now implemented in most of the areas in the city for the people to use them. As you all have noticed schools and educational facilities have all been moved to the outskirts of the city. This was done because most of the traffic occurs during school time as parents are taking their children in the morning and bringing them back home at noon. During this time period is where the highest number of vehicles are on the road. Moving schools outside the perimeters of the city will reduce the number of cars on the road and traffic would flow easily for those who aren’t going for their kids. Dubai has introduced a pay system called Salik. This system is compiled of a Salik tag that is stuck to the vehicle and toll gates. Whenever a car passes a small fee is deducted from their account. With this system in use toll gates could be put on the busiest roads, thus leading motorists to use other roads not restricting the flow of one single road. The people that wouldn’t want to pay would start to fill up other streets.
Change can’t occur unless all the members of the country are working hand in hand to resolve the issue. Firstly, the citizen’s level, citizen of the country can use public transportation more often. As said before this would lower the number of cars on the road plus the person wouldn’t need to worry about paying for parking and leaving at a certain time. The government should motivate and give an incentive for its citizens to use public transport. Secondly, as we are taking a wider scale let’s talk about the issue on a National level. The UAE could benefit from a metro system that stretches across the UAE with stops at the busiest parts of the city. Dubai uses this metro station perfectly with stops at nearly every street or area in the city. Most importantly the UAE government should change the timings of the different sectors, such as the people with jobs and people who go to schools and universities. In the present day, students and workers go to their respective institutions at the same time in the morning if schools were subjected to a time change to a time different than the one of jobs, less cars would be on the road during each time. That would certainly help with traffic congestions. As we move up to Global level, not a lot can be done as every country imposes its own rules and regulations for traffic control. Jim Gorzelany (2019) states that ' Residents of Beantown spent an average of 164 hours sitting in their vehicles going nowhere slowly last year, losing as much as $2,291 in personal value for the privilege‘’. I believe that underground subways can be a universal solution and would most probably help massively with the issue.
Traffic can be one of the most deadly things that we can deal within our daily lives, it can make people lose their mind due to waiting for so long, so they start being impatient and want to reach their destination faster than the others which can lead to a car accident. It's anything but difficult to construction, an accident, or a cop giving a traffic ticket causing a clog, drivers back off either to move to another lane or take part in a touch of seeking as they attempt to perceive what occurred. Street work may close down at least one path, expecting drivers to move over into open yet packed paths. Awful climate may make few drivers to keep up a slower driving rate out of worry about their safety, and it cannot be predicted when will the weather change that is why we need to obey rules and always leave a distance between any car which is in front of you. Also, timings of school and work, this could lead to traffic jam if both leaves at the same times were school buses and people leaving from work meet on highways which makes the highway crowded and this may cause an accident and wait for so long in traffic. A more current type of traffic that is influencing urban areas increasingly more consistently is actually the after effect of diverted driving. At the point when drivers are occupied by their cell phones or other handheld gadgets, they probably won't drive at a consistent speed, hence unexpectedly expanding traffic density. Drivers may likewise get occupied at stoplights, which can influence traffic density once the light turns green. In fact, cell phone diversion at traffic lights can contrarily affect ordinary traffic stream for a normal of 27 seconds after you've quit messaging. You ought to never content and drive, as it can build traffic blockage, yet in addition increment your hazard for crashing. The most well-known type of traffic happens when there are a greater number of cars than the roadway can hold. This type of clog, likewise called immersion, is repeating and makes up about a portion of all traffic that individuals experience once a day. Immersion frequently happens when a city's population becomes quicker than its framework. Thruway immersion is a basic issue that administrators have tried to address for quite a long time. Since sitting in parkway traffic is viewed as a useless and unwanted action, repeating clog can affect both the economy and citizens' prosperity.
