The Mystery In Hollow Places

My book that I read is called The Mystery Of Hollow Places by Rebecca Podos. The main character is Imogene but everyone calls her Im. Her dad is a retired doctor who now writes books. Im’s best friend id Jessa. Jessa is beautiful in every way. Her older brother names is Chad. Im’s birth mom is Sidonie Malachai. After her dad got divorced he remarried Lindy's Scott who is a guidance counsellor.

The story begins on a weird day. Im wakes up for school but instead of going to school her dad takes her out of school to go to the beach. This is odd for him because he never lets her miss school for anything. It’s a cold november day but Im doesn't mind. They talk on the beach for a while but then its starts to get cold so they leave.

The next day they can’t find Im’s dad. He has gone missing! The police (Chief Griffin) start to look for him. Im is destroy and loves her father very much. But her father left her a clue, a special rock that once belonged to her real mother. Im thinks her dad went to see her mother again. There is only one problem she doesn't know where her mother lives.

She decides to go to Jessa’s house. Her mother works at the hospital where Im was born so maybe that is where she can find files on her mother. Im covessisays Jessa to do her plan so at the hospital they go to the files room. They find a file on her it says that she was working at a eye doctor. So they go to her old work place where they find out that she was came into work the day she divorced Im’s dad. They said that she was so disappointed and couldn't continue her work. The people were disappointed but understanding. They also said that she went to different town out of the state in a town called Springfield and is now remarried.

Her step-mother, Lindsey is very upset about her husband running away. So she doesn't want Him to go to Springfield all by herself. Im asked Jessa but she is busy so she says her brother can go. Im is fine with this but Lindsey tells her she has to get a prom dress well she is out. Im and Chad stop at a clothes store and find a perfect dress. Well they are there Chad asked Im to go to prom. Im says yes because she has always liked him.

After that that stop by the house Im makes Chad wait in the car because she does not want them to meet. She walks in but only the husband is their. Im introduces herself and they talk for awhile while they wait for Sidonie to arrive. Once she gets their Im is upset that her mom has not spoken to her in years. Well they talk Im finally asked where her father is. Sidonie says she does not know. Bt she says she heard from him the day before he went missing saying that he would meet him by the water. Im now knows where to go. She goes back to the car and asked Chad to take hem home.

Once they get home I'm leaves and goes to a bus station. She is going to the beach where her dad took her the day before he went missing. When she arrived she started to look at the hotels until she find the correct room. Their, her dad is in the room and all over the ground is old food and messing with food everywhere.

I'm gets upset because her dad has just been staying here the whole time and not worrying about them. Her dad apologizes and explains why he did it. He just wanted to see her again. But he comes back to the house where lindsay is so happy to see them. Everything goes well accepted that Im is grounded from breaking into the hospital. But she gets to have the time of her life at prom with Chad. All n all the book was a great read and mystery.
