The Process Of Designing A Brochure

Designing a Brochure

A brochure is a pamphlet or a magazines of different kinds of services that author want to deliver. In this brochure I want the readers to be experiencing something that is new and exhilarating. The readers should be teleported to the places they never know or not aware of when they turn every page of the brochure. The brochure will contain every designs and theme background for every page to emphasize every tourist spot and destination I want the reader to see and realize the beauty and uniqueness of Caloocan than other cities in the Philippines.“It’s more colorful and fun in the Caloocan, Philippines”, you will be saying to yourself when you see this brochure full of uniqueness and will show what Caloocan is made of.

The cover page will be emphasizing the trademark color of our beloved city which is orange for its the campaign color of Mayor Oca Malapitan in his election period. It will include the printed pictures of different tourist spots in Caloocan that we are proud of, more likely a collage but not covering the orange background to pay respect for our Mayor that made our city much better. Be the Tarzan of the first page, yell with pride for the color should be lush green color of nature and it should be designed with pictures of animals and plants that are pop up and the content should be like this, “If you’re looking for a beauty that can only be found in nature but don’t want the hassle of leaving the city, why not visit the La Mesa Watershed with over a thousand hectares of protected wetlands and is a bird sanctuary, that bird lovers will love and appreciate the diverse kind of birds that are flocking everywhere and with their wings flat in the sky”, at the bottom of the persuading content, there would be a feather attached.

The color of the second page should be red, blue and yellow abstract given that it would show the history of Philippines and given its about history then it will include the San Roque church that we are proud of because it is Cathedral that had been blessed by Pope John Paul II. The brochure will also include some Latin translation of the Bible for the ancient and very cultural effect. Simple is beautiful that what I want the third page to consist of, and for the page color for the third page of the brochure should be white and no design at all for it will emphasize that science is blank canvas for knowledge and all of the information about the topic should be in all in cursive so that it will show the complexity of science are if you look quite closely to it.

“The science of today is the future of tomorrow”, stated by Edward Teller and this is quite true for some reasons and to show the importance of everything that the museum in Caloocan exhibits, this page will include some of the notable pictures of the exhibits that will attract science enthusiast as well as those who seek for knowledge.“Hóng (hóng) yùn dāngtóu” which can be translated as Red is lucky or red can bring fortune, so I decided that this part of the brochure the theme color would be red that has golden stripes to symbolise Chinese's love for fortune. Since a Chinese temple is located in Caloocan the brochure will show some of the pictures of the temple itself and some of the Feng Shui divination for a certain zodiac signs and not for all, this can be somewhat pleasing for those who wanted luck and fortune for a very long time but cannot have it.

An example of the content would be, “Year of the Metal Snake should be wary of his/her surroundings for an accident might occur during this time of the year”, this given Feng Shui divination is an example of predictions that this page will have, and all of the font for this should be also in cursive for it represents the intricate and unique way of Chinese in getting their guide towards becoming successful persons. Having a stressful day is sure tiresome, but there was once a quote that “When you try to control everything, you enjoy nothing Sometimes you need to relax and breath and live the moment”, with this part of the brochure it will sure to refresh you with the Hawaiian theme background with a simple yet alluring pictures of resorts in Caloocan that will surely be breathtaking for the readers and will surely transform you to a Moana that will let you see line where the sky meets the pool in every resorts you will notice.

“Food is life”, basically the greatest phrase of all time and possibly the most used phrase of our time, well to satisfy your cravings for scrumptious dishes, Caloocan have a lot of foods to offer. For the background it should be whitewood style then the upper right corner would be a pictures of juicy and mouthwatering Wagyu Steak that is very affordable. If Asian cuisine is what your stomach is set on, you’ll like pictures of the different Japanese, Chinese and Korean food the brochure have to offer. Lastly the Elar’s Lechon with that crispy mouthwatering pig’s skin and that tender juicy meat giving you the feeling of temptation to the depths of your soul.

The reminiscence of Andres Bonifacio and one most famous masterpiece of Guillermo Tolentino, one of the national artists of the Philippines, the Bonifacio monument that can be found in monumento, that will be the default watermark that the brochure will use and can show the bright side of having a traffic congestion, in which you can appreciate the magnificence of Andres Bonifacio and show the hero that help Filipinos get their freedom back from the Spaniards. This masterpiece doesn’t need any design anymore just a simple font style without anything to show because for me this part of the brochure carry the most artistic value of all and just by staring at the background you can be amazed by how the statue was made by our artist.

If you’re looking for a chilly, spooky and yet fascinating experience the last page will be the best for you with the background of the La Loma Cemetery some of the pictures of notable people such as Felipe Agoncillo, Marcela Agoncillo(the seamstress of the national flag), Lorenza Agoncillo, Cayetano Arellano y Lonzón that will surely remind you the rich history of the Philippines. Caloocan is a busy yet a thriving city with lots of different places you can discover. It is truly an amazing city with a generous city mayor that continue to enrich and improve the Caloocan district. A wonder you can never expect inside a concrete jungle wherein a paradise awaits deep into this bewildering borough, it’s just a hole in wall excitement, but if ever you can find it, a masterpiece will surely surprise you.
