Every organization needs persuasive marketing ideas, to present the specialty of the products and services for attracting customers and maintain their loyalty.

Marketing with social network and Word-of-Mouth could increase the reputation and visibility of the company. According to an online analysis from FI Bendall, advertising is significantly affected by the explosion of social network and consumer-generated media, as it has increased expressively of the consumers’ reliance on word-of-mouth in the decision-making process - either from people they know or consumers on the internet they don’t. In recent years, most companies who trust the traditional advertising has declined, therefore business’s social media strategy needs to include how to manage conversational and interactive elements, which means to carefully observe the customers’ reaction to the company’s products, take their feedbacks in consideration and provide appropriate response and improvement solutions.

Yet, poor social e-marketing campaign could lead to some unnecessary problems or even global conflicts because of the lack of knowledge. Take an example from the “Coca Cola”, it has started hardly in 2016 for them when they decided to advertise with a Russian map, considering it is a debatable issue and the company used an incomplete map, this eventually resulted in the products being banned and attacked by Russian and Ukrainian online protests. “Do your best to stay far, far away from the potentially debatable issues”, said by Gorbatch Alina, which reminds us of being aware and avoid the lack of knowledge when we are doing marketing for our company. Moreover, it would be a waste of time, manpower and costs if a company spends money on the wrong advertising channel, and in consideration of reaching modern consumers, approaching them from their point of view required is very crucial and naturally we must make sure the advertising channel we choose connects with customers’ interests.

Even advertising probably has a huge impact on the customers’ decisions, however, “Focus your advertising efforts on areas where your audience hangs out”, pointing out an extremely vital concept. If we are trying to engage and attract shoppers, then obviously Facebook or any enterprise business tool such as LinkedIn may not hold much value since instead of trying to reach the broad audience, it is often better to target the core one for a niche industry.

The last but not least, why we should pay attention to the guest’s comments due to inadequate customer feedback strategy might lead to issues that we should have prevented and improved. In the hotel I work currently, “Taste Lab” is one of our most popular restaurants in the hotel. There is no specific menu as we work with special chefs from different areas for a specific time to design and adopt a variety of theme menus, and then adjust the length of offerings according to the reaction and the popularity of the guests. For instance, from this year, “Taste Lab” cooperates with a Cooking Designer from Belgium, which his famous masterpiece, “Le Petit Chef”, has combined delicacies and 3D shadow-casting technique to provide a feast of the sense of taste, smell, hearing and vision. This brings more profit to the hotel that most of the guests left brilliant comments and thanks to those great encouragements, the project will lengthen until next year. Nevertheless, the F&B managers found the rates of return is quite low after a few months later, in addition, they reorganized and discussed to make a bit change of the menu of “Le Petit Chef” to improve the situation.

On the other hand, by advertising this project, “Le Petit Chef”, through the websites, emails, boards and mini televisions in the elevators of the hotel, we will collect the customer feedbacks in person or from the internet to adjust an efficient strategy for improvement. Besides, there is also promotion for children and employees that “Taste Lab” is fully booked almost every day and fortunately, this marketing approach has been successfully applied through social network and customer feedbacks to consider a better and proper marketing mission.
