The Roots Of My Optimism
Honestly, sometimes it is very challenging to always have and my keep optimism due to the circumstances. For me, I always have a reason to be optimistic. Most of my optimism comes from my education honestly. Whenever I am in a situation that gets me down in the dumps, I think about my education and all of the things I have accomplished.
This optimism started all the way back in 2010. That was the hardest year of my life. I had lost my grandfather. I was the closer to him than I was with any of my other family members. Then I thought, he’s in a better place now. Some of the challenges that I have had in my lifetime wasn’t anything that I couldn’t be optimistic about even if they were very challenging. In my life, optimism is the key to everything. I like to think that if you think about the worst, the worst will happen. I really like the quote “Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and of true progress. ” by Nicholas Murray Butler. I really like that quote because it tells you that optimism is the foundation for anything and everything and that you have to have optimism to achieve. If you think like a pessimist, you will worry and think that every single thing will go wrong. If you see this difficulty in every opportunity, then I see no reason for living if you always see the worst.
In 2017, I had another rough year. My grandmother who I’m very close with had a heart attack. I thought it was going to kill me. Then, being optimistic, I said, she has some of the best doctors in the state. So why worry? Through all of these experiences, I have been torn apart. Optimism is the key to life. If you have optimism, you will be radiant and untroubled. If you don't have you will be miserable and sorrowful. Every day, I wake up and say, this will be a good day. If you are optimistic, you can be more committed to your goals and you can be very satisfied with your life. As Richard M. DeVos said, ¨Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A ´you can do it´ when things are tough. ¨ This quote really stood out to me because I think this quote really describes my life. Through all of the things I´ve been through, my education really leads me on every day. I like to think that my education is very successful, so I am optimistic every day. Whenever you have a positive attitude, you can honestly achieve anything you put your mind to. If you do not think optimistically, your whole life could come tumbling down in a second. Whenever I am optimistic in a tough situation, I think about my education and all of the things that I have accomplished.
Last year, in 2017, I accomplished reading one million words. This year I have not done that, but being optimistic I still strive to meet that goal. Also in the year of 2017, I was able to come and compete in this event. All through the years, if I think about my education, I will be just fine. At times, I can be a bit over dramatic. I sometimes over exaggerate to my troubles.
