Unforgettable Life-Lessons During Highschool
In this paper I am going to share some stories that I had during the high school period and what lessons they have taught me. Throughout my high school experience, my family’s financial situation has been the one to shape me into the person I am today, both academically and socially. For as long as I can remember, my drive to succeed in school and maintain high aspirations initially came about whenever I would think about my parents. With only a high school diploma and no college experience, the opportunities presented to my parents were not as high. My mom began her new job as a nail technician during my freshman year, while my dad was not allowed to work due to his disability. Being our primary and only source of income, my mom was the most important and most significant influence in my life.
With lots of dedication, my mom continued to work long hours and overtime every week to earn more money, often carrying stress on her shoulders. However, she chose not to let the situation get in the way of being able to provide for my family and me. She did her best to make sure that my siblings and I were able to live a comfortable life, which she has incredibly done so. Seeing this, I was motivated to excel even greater in school. I learned to put in just as much hard work and dedication with everything I do inside and outside of school so that I could later on give back and provide a better future for my family. I continued to focus on my studies in all of my classes, with a desire for academic success.
As high school continued, I realized that along with doing well in school, I also had to step out of my comfort zone and make my opportunities. I decided to join the Student Council, one of the most active and time-consuming clubs on campus. This organization gave me a chance to open up and see what my capabilities were so that I could grow as a person. In there, I was able to meet new people, who I considered almost my second family. Through them, I became more inspired when working together on projects and other activities to help bring light to our school. I gained confidence and brought my ideas to the table to carry out a successful school club.
During my junior year, I was elected as a committee chair for the Council. This position allowed me to further expand my leadership qualities and my growth as a person. With more projects to create and perform, it was my responsibility to make sure I handle it well. Amid stressful tasks, I would always have the thought of my family in the back of my head to keep myself driven and on my feet. I continued to work hard to accomplish my role in the club and make a positive outcome for myself and others. Looking back, I realized how joining the Student Council helped me become more exposed to different benefits and challenges, ultimately shaping me into someone better.
To conclude high school experience essay, through it all, I learned the values of strength and patience. Despite the challenges and struggles that my family faced, I never let it stop me from going for my goals. It changed my perspective on what I need to aim for in my future. My struggles became my motivation, leading me on the right path to success. And with the Student Council, I want to be able to use what I learned into achieving my goals, here and wherever I go. These stories I am going to use for writing more essays about high school experiences so that you can do also.
