Why I Deserve This Scholarship: What are My Personal Reasons
There are many things that I am certain about myself and three of them are my passion for “social behavior,” my inextinguishable drive for learning, and my mission of making meaningful difference in the lives of others. I usually ask myself “Why I deserve this scholarship?”, so in the essay I share examples of some statements with arguments why I truly need this scholarship.
There were some people in my past whom suffered from an illness that I have witnessed. The people who were close to me, bearing the pain of having an addiction to alcohol, especially the worse condition of mental health where they’ve become unstable. I cried for them and promised to find the ways by which I would be able to do something to help. It was as if their pain was mine and more so because I could do nothing about it. I knew then that my life would be more effective if I could be of service especially to those who are experiencing the effects of alcohol addiction. I was stirred to the understanding that one’s life can be more worthy through the services of others.
Every human deserves to live life to the fullest. It is my committed wish to be part of contributing to the betterment of mankind. One way of reaching this goal is by embracing the science of social behavior.To embrace the science of social behavior I would need to pursue my higher education. Higher education will give me the education and skills I need to become successful. It will have a great influence on my own life because by achieving a higher education, I will have the ability and opportunity to influence my society by becoming a counselor. I look forward to the academic wisdom I will gain attending Central Wyoming College as well as the life skills I can learn from the experience of completing my college education. I believe that experiencing college will teach me far more than the skills necessary to receive a degree in Social Science. It will teach me even greater determination and the dedication of not giving up so that I may influence and empower the lives of others. After completing my associate’s degree in Social Science at Central Wyoming College, I plan to transfer to a university. My educational longing consists of receiving a bachelor's degree in any health science that would assist me in pursuing a career as a counselor. I am certain that if I do not complete my college degree I could never have the opportunity to achieve my career goals
To end up with, I am truly passionate about helping others and that’s why I aim to study Social Science. I am applying for the Bringing Education and Success Together scholarship because not only will it give me more drive to work hard and achieve my goals but it will help financially. I would be able to gain more access to the materials needed for the courses of a Social Science degree. I believe I deserve this scholarship opportunity because I am driven and passionate about my future.
