Women's Suffrage Movement Like an Important Event in the Historical Background and World-War Scenario

Introduction

Women empowerment is achieved through a lot of struggle within world war first and second that has various perceptions. The suffrage movement is one of the major events in Britain where women’s right is imprinted within the Canadian movement. This essay revolves around Canadian women and their achieving rights to vote under general citizenship. It tries to prove different reasons for women's struggle and their way of taking rights through the suffrage movement. Moreover, this essay establishes role of first-wave feminism in this movement and gives a contrastive analysis on the suffrage movement in Britain and US.

Reason for achieving women's votes in Canada

It is a struggle of equality that has brought provincial legislature as a smart and interesting strategy for women. This strategic vision of Haile for making social transformation within the country is important to analyze. Haile gave an opportunity to every woman for making their individual choice and effective change in society through completing their education. According to Haile, basic human rights cannot be snatched from them for any kind of political comprehensive change.

The history of the first world-war is more experienced by the suffrage movement that is noted as women’s right to vote in equal terms of men. This achievement has taken 100 years of struggle that is recommendable in terms of women’s pathetic condition. In this journal, the Canadian army has been focused more than women's struggle for getting their rights in order to maintain equality to men. On the other hand, the major reason for struggling with a constitution could be mentioned in the first journal. Factors of dominion contingency have been discussed in the first journal, which is not necessary but not sufficient for the suffrage movement. On the other hand, political issues like election nomination, and power efficiency have been more focused than women's struggle. Thus, in these two journals particular reason for which the Canadian movement is still remembered for women suffrage movement could be included in a descriptive manner.

Empowering women is necessary and the Canadian Government has done after a continuous struggle of 100 years. In this journal, the abusive manner of treating women has been described, however; their suffering in every condition have not been given in detail. However, this journal has focused on abuse of battle that’s effect is very critical for women and again this journal has not also mentioned that particular section. Hence, a contrast can be established between these two journals and the comments of authors on that. On the other hand, another journal could be included with reasons for competition with men that women started in 1837. These two journals have not been focused with women's struggle and their effectiveness toward equality.

In 1834, Louis Joseph abolished all women's rights by signing the Bill of the province that affected his own daughter and wife during the election in Lower Canada. It has not been found in this journal rather this journal has given an explanation on memory on significant war essentials. On the women’s vote and its equality could be included in this journal for making a comparison with war situations and women’s condition. Women’s realization for defining equal rights in every condition of the country is found through the Canadian suffrage movement. However, mention of this particular knowledge has not been included in this book. Women have realized this after meeting with Haile’s decision regarding the provincial legislature. It can be agreed with that Haile’s decision is an important aspect of this suffrage movement, however, getting women’s collaborative voice can also be a major aspect for getting right to vote. Maximum women were dominated, as they were not taken as equal to men in Canada. Hence, it had emerged as a suffrage movement in Canada for getting equal rights like men.

Women of Canada realized that they needed a democratic Government that can help them to be equal with men in order to maintain their position. This gave them more encouragement for struggling for self-vote right in Canada. Deficiencies of Canada like corruption, imperialism, and other matters have become their defenders in this movement. Women got their rights by the support of Seneca Falls, the leadership of Elizabeth Cady, and circulated petitions of suffragists and many others. The rebellion of 1837 in lower Canada came as enlightenment for women and the French revolution also inspired many women for getting their self-rights for voting. It made women’s position in the constitutions of Canada strong that abolished ownership of slaves.

Differences in first wave feminism

Hundred years of struggle for getting the right to vote have given multiple thoughts on feminism reality. In this regard, feminism, the first wave can be considered as an important aspect of this discussion. Necessary implications of feminine virtues like thoughtfulness, kindness, discretion, cooperation, and their tolerance capacity are far stronger than men that help women to resist themselves from patriarchal society. However, this book has provided a vital aspect- the nature of feminism that in social history it can be found in a different manner. The priority of the first wave is to give importance towards equality like other men in society. Canadian women first realize this theory in terms of US laws for only men that they can give vote according to their choice. Men can sort out there every single function of society but women cannot which is highly important in this struggle. Feminism is itself a single term that has been referred to all women and girls of society. However, first-wave feminism denotes women’s equal rights as men get from a constitution. It also denotes women’s perceptions towards nature and nature is itself a woman’s reality, which can be defined through romanticism theory. Mentioning theory it can be proved that men and women complete each other that can be measured with different myths. In this way, feminism differs in every era of modern aspects along with mythical aspects.

The suffrage movement is a way of finding cultural relevance of women in order to form a peaceful society in Canada. It can be a good progression of feminism however, the difference can be created through another divisional manner also. Restrictions on working had been pressurized on women that differentiated among men and women. They could not fulfill their actual wish that affected their self-respect and existence. Their existence was also questioned by the constitution of Canada that could be taken easily by women. Their existence could be measured through individual perspectives of women's empowerment that might help in that movement. The right to get an education had not been established for women in Canada (3). It can be agreed with this prospect that feminism of first wave has been merged with the existence of women. However, different virtuous quality of women is also attractive elements of women that can be given equal respect in terms of equality.

Focusing on Canadian women in respective of the suffrage movements in Britain and the US

In 1758, in Canada, limited segments of the population were allowed to vote that affected the equality perception of society. Ideas of Canadian-English suffragists had been discussed with different aspects of social relevance. It can be taken as justification on the suffrage movement and the proper reason for this movement. However, difference based on property division and ownership of excessive property has not been included in that book. The major reason of partiality was excluding women from paying high taxes and maintaining of population. However, they were always humiliated for their specified value in different sectors of Canada. In Franchise Act, Male and females both were included in the voting system of Quebec that had brought a revolution in Canada. In this journal, it could be included that Canada had been suffering from issues regarding racism and gender equality at which Britain and US had put their effort into making a successful movement. On the other hand, Canada’s crusaders had taken an important role in building a strong group with the help of the maximum suffering women and it had been included in this book. The contradiction between these two books can be established by the importance of women’s existence through women’s contribution to the suffrage movement.

In Britain, this movement was postponed due to civil war for which women’s rage had been increased inside their minds as magma. It can be realized through the individual rage aspect of women; however, the growth of urbanization along with industrialization is also important for this discussion. Increased urbanization has taken many opportunities to find a developed area according to an individual’s economy. These opportunities include better hospitality, traffic facilities, and an education system in terms of revealing their own identity. It has also made an identity crisis for which women are taken for grant by this patriarchal society. Finding equality is not a crime and it could be mentioned in this book . Manner of worshipping goddess is a very common fact and it becomes a complexity for Canadian society, which is not mentioned in that book. On the other hand, gender justice campaigns in Canadian women have been produced in a book. Through this campaign, women throughout Africa, America, Canada, and Britain joined for achieving the individual rights of women.

Class discrimination is also a major factor that could be written in a book of first-wave feminism. In this contrast, it can be said that women fight for rights not only to find equality but also to find a complete position in society without adding men’s surname. During birth, they get their name from parents and grow up with that name. On the other hand, class is defined as a different factor of feminism that not only influences male society but also to Government of that country.

An unprecedented success that affects most of the women in Canada has not mentioned in this book. However, the history of women’s vote has been discussed with the proper voting process and other major analyses of male society. Comparing with British success with Canadian success it can be identified that to get progressive success from women’s contribution Haile took the decision of giving equal rights to every woman of Canada.

The understanding grievance of the Great War, World War 1 and 2 is necessary to realize and define the major contributions of the Army and their family. It can be agreed with equal rights of men in a book, however, the basic reason of finding equality has come from war reality. War reality has given a lesson of making unity in a critical situations and it can help in developing personality.

Conclusion

Thus, it can be concluded that a suffrage movement is an important event in the historical background and world-war scenario. Equality to liberty is a vital factor through which this movement is justified. The right to education for every woman has been described with necessary functions like the provincial Acts of Canada. In Canada, the proper significance of establishing women's rights in society is necessary to factor that has given an exact reason. In this way, significant contrast and comparative analysis on the suffrage movement have been given importance in respect to knowing the glory of Canada.
