21St Century Workplace In Canada

When we talk about the future of the 21st-century workplace, we are talking about workforce capital that companies are dying to look for. Many changes you are able to see from 1900 to the current year. From wage changes to employment rates to creating technology that will affect the number of job growth rates.

The generation Z youth of today and tomorrow will have the most different and unique types of job opportunities with many different conflicts and problems that can arise with it. The job opportunities back in the 20th century were quite limited and youths had an easier time getting a job and sticking to it for the rest of their lives since they only needed the education from a post-secondary institution. Nowadays it's actually quite harder to get a job without experience. This has had many graduates helplessly looking for jobs in their career fields. What they have to try and understand is, you won't be able to get anywhere if you don't have the experience for it.

This has led to many Canadian youths start their own businesses and made them follow their passion and dreams more than they use to back in the 20th century because of how they were only able to choose from specific career fields and such. In this day and age there have been more problems and conflicts arising in the workforce than ever; with the advancement of technology and the sudden arising of feminism in almost all careers, many young graduates are facing discrimination, because of their race, gender, age, orientation, and disabilities. This had never actually happened 30 or 40 years ago because of how undiversified the workplace was back then. A lot of youths and graduates were pretty self-conscious into what they were getting themselves into and always had a fixed plan of their future back then.

Another crazy difference that has occurred in this age, is how the use of technology has actually made young Canadians youth have a work-at-home type of job. Due to this, they are able to get hired online without the employer even meeting up with the employee! A downfall of this would be how unsocial and mundane their lives cans be because of this, and how they are not really getting any social interactions and connections/networking. This is usually for those youths who are more technologically-inclined and who prefer working at home and writing reports.

Lastly, more Canadian youths and graduates will be having multiple jobs throughout their lives in the 21st century. This is because a lot of these graduates and youths tend to be more indecisive in what their true passion is in life which also applies to me. This means that it can now be a lot easier for graduates to switch from many types of jobs once they found their jobs. This can lead to youths and graduates freelancing their jobs and can be working for multiple/several different companies at the same time which would be quite difficult if you were to do that 30 or 40 years ago.
