There are differences between work schedule and school schedule, the main difference would be the work load. When it comes to work load, college is the most known to have a high number in that subject. Many students entering college think that starting is a piece of cake, but when they realize what it truly takes to start it is hard to continue. When it comes to college, they are many things that must be taken into consideration for example, the stress load that will be taken, paying for college, tragedies in life and many other reasons that will be explained in this essay. Life situations are important when it comes to college because that’s where most of the stress come from. Always have a time set to do things and to stay organized. Academic burn out should be a concerned to college students because it is bad for the health, it can cause multiple behavior problems, promotes burnouts in academical studies, and is not scientifically proven to help in any way when it comes to negatively productivity.
The history of stress within college students has been a problem worldwide, when it comes to mental behavior and a multiple behavioral problem there are some things that must be taken into consideration while providing a helpful way to cope with it. Mental health diagnosed and suicidal were common, one in four students reported being diagnosed with or treated for a mental health disorder in the prior year. One-fifth of all students surveyed had thought about suicide, with 9 percent reporting having attempted suicide and nearly 20 percent reporting self-injury. This implies and gives information of how college stress has gotten to the point where students have committed suicide due to the pressure. Also, by providing scientific evidence it is easier to understand the role of these studies and what they have to offer. Mental health issues may be underreported for racial or ethnic minorities. Despite a higher likelihood of suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts, Asian students reported a lower rate of mental health diagnosis compared to white students. Black students showed a lower likelihood of reporting all outcomes compared to white students. This statement also describes how the race of the students may affect the outcome of students committing suicidal. By providing evidence of how everything plays part within the ethnicities, there are always a higher chance of students committing suicidal due to the overwhelming feeling of school. Additional research is needed to determine if there is increased vulnerability among students who belong to an intersection of identities (for instance, students who identify as both a sexual and racial or ethnic minority). In addition to that, bad behavior has been an issue when it comes to college students dealing with stressful school work. Personal adjustments in the decision-making sequence, especially relative to the performance of students having a difficult time adjusting to college, include satisfaction and achievement. Indeed, the adjustment problem is a very important matter. When an individual exerts an effort to achieve a goal, if the effort is insufficient in achieving that goal, the greater effort level leads to a greater achievement level. This explains how the actions can create big impacts in the student’s life, when considering important aspect for example trying hard enough to get good grades, achieve what students want for their career and put all the effort in what is important. Sometimes as a college student we tend to procrastinate so much that we forget about the paper work we had to do couple hours ago, it can be difficult to focus when there is so much going on in your life. Academic engagement has been a good help for students going through stressful sequences in life that promotes them to bad behavior over time. When it comes to behavior problems the best way to over come that would be to seek for advice. You have access to great minds, extensive academic resources, and dedicated support personnel. Take advantage. If you’re struggling, don’t do it in quiet isolation. Before the stress becomes an insurmountable obstacle to your academic success, talk to your professor during office hours, visit your academic advisor, research tutoring options on your campus, even consider shifting your educational focus to areas more suited to you. States Tomar, this gives examples of how to cope with the stress, these are helpful because it provides information and the people students can seek to for example, counselors, professors, and even your tutors who are not specialized in the fields but can help somehow while dealing with stress. Many of other examples it shows is the fact that it gives good advice when it comes to changing your schedule around that will fit your schedule.
In addition, stress in college creates burn outs, which are a big issue when it comes to focusing in school. In college life, which requires self-regulation and activeness, the emotional status of students must be deeply related with an inner motive connected to action. This explains how the motivation of the students must do a lot with their performance in college. Self-regulation is self-discipline which most of the students lack since they are overwhelmed, they don’t know where to start. There are many healthy ways to deal with stress and burn outs while juggling your life events. Exercise produces endorphins, the feel-good chemicals that act as natural painkillers, and it also improves sleep, which in turn reduces stress. This explains how exercise can be a great way to deal with stress, being active can help. To be able to produce endorphins you must be active and reduce stress. Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic essential oils to improve one's physical and emotional well-being. Lavender, lemon, jasmine, bergamot, and ylang-ylang are all reported to lower stress and anxiety. By having aromatherapy can help you deal with stress. There many other ways to deal with stress while staying healthy. By providing different aspects of helping students to cope with stress and anxiety will be to provide more counselors and staff that will be helpful in that aspect. By balancing those factors and having professionals to help them do so will make a big difference in our student’s school life as well as outside of school
Also, there will always be another side of the story that will explain why these factors are not helpful, due to the security levels in other institutions are higher than the staff amount. The audience should believe this because many of the factors that students can benefit of learning how to cope with stress by learning how to manage time properly, how to manage stress and relaxation. By balancing those factors and having the professional to help them do so will make a big difference in our student’s school life as well as outside of school. The values that my audience claim would be, among school-aged children, 3.2 percent are diagnosed with depression, and 7.1 percent have a diagnosed anxiety disorder. But six million students attend schools that have eliminated school psychologists in favor of security personnel. In addition to that security is important in school as well due to the shootings that have been taking place, but have you even thought about the cause of those shooting and dangerous things that had happened. Even worse, suicide is the second-leading cause of death for adolescents and young adults. About 1.7 million students attend schools that contain cops, but no counselors. This also explains how suicidal due to stress, lack of counseling, and anxiety.
In addition to that, another example to help prevent both aspects would be to possibly provide an equal amount of both, we can be ok with both side of the story. It is okay to provide counseling because it may heal a difficult life situation, for example the death of a loved one, breakup, or even not getting hired to a job maybe the loss of an important job. By qualifying the argument and agreeing with both sides of the story there is a chance that both will be beneficial. By having two sides of the story there can always include a common ground which is having a same amount of security and counselors to provide stability in the students. By providing these aspects there will be less stress in students and more academic progress.
In conclusion all these adds up to examples of how to deal with stress and how stress affect many college students. Many people believe that stress is something that everyone goes through but not everyone know how to cope with it and manage their life sequences and school at the same time, there is always space for fun things in life but when it comes to focusing in your health there is nothing more important. There will be many other factors that will come into consideration while coping with stress, the only way would be to realize the key factors of the problem.
