Achieving The American Dream Is Possible For Everyone
The American Dream is a land where everybody is free, regardless of race or color. A land where all views are accepted. A land where everybody has a say. Living the American Dream is not easy. You have to push yourself through thick and thin to be where you want to be. There are many obstacles along the way that you will have to overcome.
The American Dream is appealing because it is obtainable by anyone through hard work and determination. If you are willing to work for it, you will achieve it. People move to America because the availably and opportunity there is to succeed. My grandparents came to America with a little money and four kids. They had long work days and did whatever they could so their children could live and good life. My mom is the hardest working person I know and if it wasn’t for her I would be getting good grades or doing what I am now.
It all begins with having hope and believing in yourself. You have to believe you can do it because anything is possible. It’s all in your hands and you control this situation whether to live the American Dream or not to. Failure is a part of the journey. Don’t make failure and mistakes change your mindset or who you are. Just get back up fighting even harder to get to where you want to be. Keep your head held high knowing you can conquer these obstacles.
The toughest obstacle is finding a balanced, well-paying job. It’s a long process to start from the bottom. Working hard showing that you want to have a stable life is a vital part. Trust the process and let time take you through this journey to your goal. Don’t rush anything because it will make it harder on you to find the job you want. Not knowing the language. Another obstacle that people have to face while achieving the American Dream is not knowing the language. Coming to this country trying to help your family live a better life is hard. You have to adapt to a new lifestyle and learn a new language to apply for a job.
If you are not white, achieving the American Dream is more complicated. If a white man and an African-American both apply for the same job. The white man will have a higher chance of getting the job over the African-American because of color and how some Americans look at people.
A motivating factor for Americans and immigrants is their children. Nobody wants their children to not live a good life. They want their children to live the American dream. They want to be able to buy their children gifts on holidays. They want to be able to give their children a place live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and a bed to sleep in. It is not easy for them but they have to do what is right for themselves and their families. Another motivating factor is being proud and knowing you can do it and the American Dream is possible.
The American Dream is not easy but can be accomplished by anybody. You have to jump many obstacles to reach your objective. You have to have the motivation and determination to reach the American Goal. Then, you will realize how great it is when to reach it and how it will all pay off in the end. The hard work you put in, the smiles on your family’s faces when you have a house, car and two kids.
