Introduction

This movie is about a robotic kid whose been replace for the real son of a couple. The main thing he needs to accomplish is to make his mother cherish him. David’s (robotic boy) venture lead him to find reality about his kind and demonstrated to us how the intensity of adoration makes a man, or even robots, have motivation to live. The executive of the film is Steven Spielberg and the main actor is Haley Joel Osment who assumed the job of David. The film has an extremely basic subject of how love can encourage the individual to take steps.

Plot Synopsis

A couple has a sick child, thought of substituting their real child with a robot. The robot was name David, whose only purpose of its existence was to show love to its parents. After keeping their real child, Martin, became healthy child which lead to the couple to keep their two children. Then some risky incident that caused by David, the mother took him and left him in the woods in order for David not to get wrecked at the laboratory which they regularly do when they return robots. David wants to happen for his mom is to show love to him as she loves their real son, yet that will never happen except if turned into a real child. David found a blue fairy underwater on an amusement park and appealed to the statue of the blue fairy to make him a real child. Aliens revived David and granted his wish to be with his mom for a day. The plot is very unique than the other because it is surprising that aliens are in the movie and, in the meantime, unusual.

Themes

The fundamental topic of the film was confidence. There was a section in the movie where David was pushed in the storage room, when his mother opened the door. For me this demonstrated despite the fact that we encounter that we are abandoned, expectation can give you the strength to defeat the inclination and search for the positive things. David’s venture to locate the blue fairy hoping he could transform to a real boy, faith is showed. The film shows us science, technology and society through demonstrating to us Artificial Intelligence serve one purpose only.

Visual Elements

I appreciated the film through how the visual elements were. The effects, cosmetics, framing, lighting and the camera angles. The effects were extremely amazing for a 2001 generation movie. The cosmetics it made them look more realistic look of human to robot. The lighting, every is great especially those scenes in the woods.

Conclusion

I conclude that this film Artificial Intelligence is a good movie and I would recommend it to other to watch it because I am impressed with the editing skills through effects, and the plot is unique. And I am a science fiction fan that’s why I enjoyed watching it. For me, I would rate this film a 9. 5/10 because the plot, theme, and visual elements, are everything on point.
