Analysis Of How Science And Religion Affect One And Other

Introduction

In the following paragraphs, I will be using facts and quotes about how Science and Religion affect one and others’ point of views over time. I will start off with the creation of the universe and how it all started. Then I will write a conclusion of what I think and what I agree more with Science or Religion. I will be using Christianity and Islam, as they are the most popular religions in the world. Then I will talk about the discovery of gravity and how that affected religion and science. After that, I will be talking about evolution and how that affected religious points of views and how it changed them completely. I am going to talk about animal testing from before Christ to 2019 and how it changed religious/science points of views. After that, I will discuss designed babies/test tube babies and how it affected religion. Then I am going to discuss war and how war affects religion, and how science created ground-breaking weapons such as, nuclear bombs, and should God have enabled people to have such power. I would also like to discuss miracles. To see if God created them or whether science itself did the dirty work. Also, I would like to discuss why we still have issues if there was a God. Finally, I would like to talk about the final Ending of everything and what scientists/ religion thinks what will happen at the end of time.

Science

This is where it all began. Since the beginning of all time, people have believed that the universe was suddenly born and is not infinite. Up to the middle of the twentieth century, there was a big debate on this theory. However, in 1905 Albert Einstein discovered the special theory of relativity which made the scientists now believe that the universe is infinite and ageless. In 1964, Cosmic background was discovered - a relic of the early universe. This was evidence of the big bang theory and it made the big bang to be accepted theory in Science. April 241990 the Hubble telescope was invented, and it has given a good picture of the big bang and the structure of the cosmos space. In recent years, scientists have discovered that the expansion of the universe is accelerating. The big bang was not an explosion, it was just the space expanding and stretching simultaneously in every single direction.

How did the Big bang happen?

The universe started an extremely small particle and it didn’t just expand anywhere (because there are no universe borders), it expanded and quickly began growing just about as big as a regular sized football. Energy manifested itself in particles that existed for only the minimal glimpses of time, due to the hot, dense environment. Due to gluons, pairs of quarks were created, which destroyed one another, after giving off more gluons. These quarks reacted with more gluons, to form new quarks again. During the Big Bang matter and energy were not just theoretically equivalent, due to the high heat they were basically the same thing. Somehow, Matter won over anti-matter, now we’re left with almost all matter and mostly no anti-matter at all. For every billion and one matter particles there were one billion particles of anti-matter. Rather than one extreme power in the universe, there are many refined versions of it acting under different rules. At this point the universe has extended to a billion km in distance across which prompts a decline in temperature. The cycle of quarks being shaped suddenly stop. Quarks being shaping new particles, hadrons, like protons and neutrons. There are numerous blends of quarks that can shape a wide range of hadrons, yet without a doubt, not very many are sensibly steady for any timeframe.

One second in to the start if the universe, the universe which has developed to one hundred billion km is presently cold enough to enable a large portion of the neutrons to rot into protons and shape the first atom, hydrogen. At this point, the universe is at the peak of 10 billion Celsius, filled with countless particles and energy. Over time, everything cooled and calmed down fast. Atoms were created out of hadrons and electrons, making a constant and electrically neural environment. Scientists named this sector the dark age as there were absolutely no stars and the Hydrogen gas didn’t allow light to go through. A million of years into the creation of the universe, the Hydrogen gas came together. Then gravity did its magic and put it under great pressure. Then galaxies and stars begin to form. The galaxies and stars dissolve the constant hydrogen gas into a plasma using their radiation. This permeates the universe today and allows visible light to pass. Then, FINALLY…There was light.

Religion

Christianity: At the beginning, God started the creation. Day 1: light was created ‘Let there be light’ in the first chapter of the book of Genesis. Day 2: the sky was created. Day 3: dry land, seas, plants and trees were created. Day 4: The sun, moon and stars were created, as well as that on day 5: aquatic creatures were created and creatures that can fly were created. On Day 6: Land animals and finally humans were created (In Gods Image). Finally, day 7, God finished his work and rested.

Islam: In the Quran it says that “the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unite, before we clove them asunder”. This means that Allah made the universe and he created everything (all matter). Also, it means no man is powerful than God and that no one can destroy what creation he made, as he made it impossible for us to do that. This shows that god is all powerful and that no one is as powerful as God. Following this enormous blast, Allah 'turned to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke. He said to it and to the earth: willingly or unwillingly. ' They stated: 'We come (together) in willing obedience''. Therefore, the elements and what was to become the planets and stars started to cool down and come together to form a shape, then this leads to conclusion that Allah created the universe. The Quran says that Allah created the Sun, the moon, and the planets. ‘It is he who created the night and the day, and the sun”.

Conclusion

Most Christians believe that God is responsible for the beginning of the universe that he set things in motion and oversaw the process. Most Christians believe that God made everything, God made everything good and God made humanity as the highest point in creation. Whereas, scientists and non-believers would believe that God didn’t create everything, as they believe that Science is the answer, and that something else caused the big bang to happen not God. Christian thought that the only planets that were the universe are the ones in our solar system. in the universe, but science has showed that it there are not just the sun and our 8 planets but there are thousands and thousands of planets that we can’t reach but we can see them due to telescopes. Also, if God told no one that there are more planets in the universe but our planets (apart of our solar system), then is he lying about the creation of the universe? This affected religion, as people were unsure what to believe in, but science has proof, does religion? But, at the same time, when this theory was presented by Georges Lemaitre in 1927. He was a Belgian Catholic priest, who was also a scientist presented his theory of the Big bang. This shows that Catholics even changed their belief that God created the universe, or even thought that God caused the Big Bang. Furthermore, this could also mean this is a religious theory and that they believe this is how it happened, but God did something to make this happen. Something needed to cause the Big Bang, and scientists don’t know the answer to this till this day. Maybe no one will never no?

Most Christians and Muslims believe that God created the universe in 6 days, and scientists believe it took millions and millions of years for the universe to be created. 6 days seems mental and impossible. But at the same time ‘no one is more powerful than god’ but at the same time, Atheists and scientists believe that it would be impossible for anyone to do that, there is proof that the Big bang is the accepted theory by cosmic background radiation, but if there was a God, why would he make it so complicated, why can God just pop a universe out of anywhere? If he’s so powerful, why hasn’t God just made a universe a easier way? Or maybe he wants to make it complex, so people on earth will believe in science or that God has created science. No one knows the exact answer and maybe no one will really know. Maybe if there is a God he might of decided that no one can ever find the real answer till they die, or maybe God isn’t real and there is no heaven and hell. Then you’ll never know how the universe was created. But from the theories and beliefs’, that’s all we can believe for now.

Overall, I believe that science has created the universe, but I’m not exactly sure what to believe how all this came together to make what we have today. It looks certainly impossible for any human to create such a world. Maybe it isn’t man made, maybe it was all just made by this as God is beyond a man, and he is more than a human with absolute power. I have doubts whether there is a God, as it seems like mind-blowing, for example, when you look in the sky and see such a beautiful view, and you end up saying ‘awe’ or ‘wow’, You wonder whether if there is actually a God, and this is the effect of science to religion.

Even though, George L was a priest, he still wanted to find out, how the universe was created and this was by the big bang, he discovered the big bang and this shows how science has a huge effect on religion. This is why when this theory was shown, religious people were shocked as they were told that GOD created the universe, not the big bang. This caused a huge change in perspectives as people started to change their minds about faith, but then soon enough everyone thought that GOD created the Big bang. But scientists would say it wasn’t god, it was science. Also, Fundamentalist Christians trust that as the Bible comes straightforwardly from God, everything in it must be the correct truth. Anything that repudiates the Bible isn't right. Accordingly, for fundamentalist Christians, the Big Bang hypothesis isn't right. So on some perspectives, the big bang did not have a hug effect on some Christians, but it has a huge impact on society, as people started wondering well if the universe is expanding and there is not just our solar system, then is there more life out there? Are we going to be killed by aliens or even invaded? Some Christians and Muslims, stopped believing, as they were not sure whether everything is even made by God, they also wondered whether even if there was a God.

Also, this universe could even be a simulation/game on a kid’s game, we might be just controlled by someone or even anything. This life might not even be reality. Most scientists believe that it’s more likely that we are a simulation and this game might be turned off one day and that could be shown as the end of the universe.

There are so many theories about how the universe was created or how we all just ended up here on this planet, why didn’t we end up as a bacteria organism or an ant. Everything is unexplained to us and this is why we will never really know how the universe was created. And this is the effect on science and religion as people keep asking questions and more questions till no more questions could be asked. But, sadly most of the questions cannot how answered. But, some of the questions about the creation have been answered by facts (science) and the bible (religion). The Bible could’ve been written by some drunk guy, who wanted to change the future. Or maybe it could be real. In conclusion I believe in science.
