Analysis Of My Night Dream Using Dream Moods
This was one of the most remarkable dreams I had in recent times and remember quite vividly. I often wondered the various symbols in it had some significance or special meaning behind them. So, I did some research to get an insight into their meaning.
The first thing that stood out in the dream was the bench, which, according to Dream Moods, indicates one’s tendency to remain passive instead of taking initiative. This holds true to my case since I had newly moved to Canada when I had this dream. I was a shy introvert who had difficulty with befriending new people. I would not speak until I was spoken to, which was often misinterpreted as being arrogant by others. The website advised me to look for the root cause of my shyness and to eradicate it. I then worked on my shyness and slowly with the passage of time overcame it.
The clear blue sky was the second symbol that remained clearly etched in my memory. According to my research, it indicates hope and possibilities. This symbol was also accurate because as we had newly come to Canada, my family’s discussion included hopes of a better future, and the numerous possibilities and opportunities that lay ahead of us to improve the quality of our life. Dream Moods conveys that seeing colorful flowers signifies kindness and compassion. I can relate to it with conviction because at that time, being new to Canada, the simple gesture of kindness displayed by people fascinated me.
The “Good morning” greeting by the bus drivers or strangers offering me to go first by holding the doors of buildings, truly reflected the compassionate nature of people. As claimed by Dream Moods, the skyscraper portrays one’s ideals and the tendency to aim high. It is also a symbolic representation for the foresight and achievements of man. I have always admired my parents’ fortitude and vision in overcoming all hardships. They have achieved so much in their life based on sheer tenacity and perseverance, and I look up to them for inspiration. The skyscraper seems to be an embodiment of their steadfastness and principles, which I strive to emulate at all times. As per my research, an eagle symbolizes, freedom, courage and self-rejuvenation. I can definitely relate to it because I was exposed to a more conventional style of teaching in India with non-existent discussions with the teachers. Here, the teachers are more receptive to questions from the students and encourage us to think out of the box. This was a very refreshing change for me because being curious by nature, my mind was filled with a lot of questions, which I had got the courage to ask now from my teachers. It was a very liberating and revitalizing for me.
The eagle also represents the spiritual connection I had with my grandfather who had passed away recently and was always encouraging me to strive for the best. I felt reassured seeing the eagle-shaped skyscraper because I perceive it as an embodiment of the blessings of my grandfather, the principles of my parents, and my own zeal and enthusiasm. As stated by Dream Moods, seeing smoke can indicate the suffering from anxiety and confusion. Although I was excited about being in a new country with a very receptive education system, I would miss my old friends and relatives. I would miss them so dearly that I yearned to be back with them. This would occasionally cause a lot of anxiety and confusion in my minds. Another compelling symbol in my dream were the flames, which, according to Dream Moods, indicates that one needs to invest their utmost efforts and energy in order to pursue success. I can also identify with this situation because I had joined my high school toward the end of the semester and had to cover a huge backlog of course material. I was focusing on becoming proficient at it quickly in short an interval of time as the final exams were approaching, and I wanted to do well on my exams.
In accordance with Dream Moods analysis, receiving a text message represents the connection to others and one’s network of friends. This observation is also true because I was regularly in touch with my friends and relatives that I had left behind. I would share the different culture and all the exciting things taking place in my life. I was also exploding my network of friends by befriending new ones at school and in my neighborhood. So, this was a manifestation of the broadening my spectrum of friends.
