Fashion And Style Of Life In 1970s

Can you image what it means to live in 1970‘s? It should be strange, but definitely exciting. Our parents can explain the fundamental differences between those times and these days. Firstly, in 1970’s women spent a large part of time preparing food. At that time they were still curing prescription books and looking new ideas for dinner. Unfortunately, there were not many innovations at that time and people rejoiced just in potatoes, beans and frozen vegetables. Also, children helped to do household chores. The whole family traditionally sat down at the table to eat.

As long as the food evaporates, they share their daily impressions. It seems that life in 1970’s was less complicated and simpler. Even when the electricity disappeared, they perfectly deal with it. People even prepared food using candles and additional equipment. It genuinely fascinates! Talking about relations with neighbours, bonds among them were much stronger. They gathered to drink a cup of tea at home and also gave to sample some fresh cookies or mouth-watering apple pie. There was times when they brought the tables to the street and celebrated. Everyone has to take some popular snacks (mostly it was crisps). People were true lovers of their country because at festivity table they wore hats or clothes with flag. It is great to see what unites all hearts. Secondly, children didn’t spend a lot of time in front of TV or telephone screen. Therefore, adolescents are more sociable, they play various games outside, didn’t rebel against their parents and help them. It is worth mentioning that children didn’t compete with each other who has a better telephone or something like that. Their priorities were different. Maybe in the first place they wanted to raise awareness about culture, language and history. Youngsters even went with parents to help them on farm works in the fields. All family were working all day at the farm, they distributed works.

At one moment prices were increasing and this encouraged them to grow their own vegetables and fruits. In this way, they ate fresh and healthy food without chemicals. Consequently, we can guess it has contributed to a longer life. At first glance this decade is not very exceptional, but video ‘Back in Time for Dinner 1970s’ contradicts that statement. Like the decades before it, fashion in the 1970s changed drastically from the beginning to the end. But the seventies certainly can’t be compared to the nowadays. The 1970s was a time when fashion evolving in many ways. For example, women had more freedom to express themselves. The 1970s style notably preserved the "hippie" look of the '60s, yet gave it a more refined, modern look. Vintage clothes and bright colours were in high demand and long, flowing skirt and pants were everywhere. With every year, pants were flaring wider and wider. But youngsters especially worn pants and shirts on all occasions. Mostly it was emerald green shirts with various ornaments. Mother’s the main robe was a folded or striped long dress. Tunics and culottes were also very popular. Sometimes it’s hard to tell which dresses were meant to be worn at home, and which ones were for a night on the town. Accessories do not overemphasize women in their outfits. Hats were not popular for everyday but brown belts really helped them to improve general view. Jewelry was nice, but not the main course. Hair was long and natural. It surprises but women rarely tied their hair into a ponytail. Also men weren’t hats or any other accessories. Shirts were the most primary rob in their wardrobe. The truth is that shirts selection was from bright yellow or blue to dark chaki colour. It looks like they were really obsessed with stripes, flowers and squares on clothes.

Believe it or not but in 1970’s: · People put coloured stickers on frozen vegetables packages· They don’t wear slippers at home· Family members don’t hug and kiss each other· Mostly beans are the main ingredient in the dishes· It seems that women is the primary money source
