Branding
It first starts with personal branding and that should come with no effort. People will associate who you are and the values you possess in their eyes. Branding yourself to a niche market can become a powerful tool to promote who you are and what you can bring to the table. In return, this will help open more doors for better opportunities and drive in clients/consumers to your business. We live in an internet and social media era where people are easily influenced by public figures, celebrities, and influencers. New businesses should be taking advantage of these networks to broaden their image. Collaborating with other brands and influencers in your niche and targeting their audience will help bring more notability generating leads and sales. At the end of the day it comes down to how the customer perceives your image. Building a Great Team Running a company means you are fully in charge of everything. The responsibility of the vision, direction, and team falls in your hand. Build a company you desire by surrounding yourself with people who are aligned with the same goal. Sometimes this could mean laying your ego aside and staying in your own zone.
When leading your company, you need to keep your team engaged and excited. You should constantly share your company’s vision and mission and keep them motivated to meet these goals. Stating certain expectations and providing incentives will help the business and team win. I surrounded myself with people who more valuable than me to create my vision. In the beginning, I started out with a business partner and two employees for my luxury concierge service, as it was easier to work together effectively. However, once the business started growing, we began to add more employees to our team which became more difficult to maintain. I was more focused on acquiring clients and major contracts with companies, rather than balancing my attention to my teams’ needs. I learned that taking care of my employees is key to the company’s success. Showing more appreciation, respect, and support helped with the productivity of the business. When it comes to leading your company, you cannot be afraid to be unpopular. Monitoring your employee’s progress and performance will help identify some of the company’s weaknesses. Take necessary action in order to help that individual grow or find a solution to strengthen your company. Building a solid team will help you stand out from your competitors.
Enhancing Customer Experience By Building Around Them
In a world filled with technology and everything is at your fingertips, people tend to be loyal to the experience they receive. By reducing the amount of effort on your customer’s end will aid in a more positive experience they will receive. Learn more about your clients by connecting on a personal level with them. Build a personal relationship with your clients. For example, inquire your client’s birthday, hobbies, music, and etc. Understanding your clients on a personal level can help build your relationship even stronger. Making your customer feel great about themselves and offering beyond your services will help bring customer satisfaction. Pay attention to your customers’ needs and wants and never ignore how your customer feels. By proactively identifying and preventing any issues before it happens will show that you are interested in your clients requests and willing to keep a smooth relationship. Customer experience is all about building a culture around customer service.
Stop Complaining, Look For Opportunities
Life is not an easy pathway and we all go through tough moments. We are rushed to focus on negative aspects as things fall apart, but these moments last momentarily if we take action appropriately. A true businessman, CEO, or entrepreneur is someone that is a problem solver. These are the people that outlast many failing startups, organizations, and companies. Finding possible solutions, determining the risks, and taking swift action on the identified issue can help overcome through any obstacles a company might face. Mentally train yourself to be positive and establish the outcome you want see, then work with others to solve the problem.
Always Keep Learning
We live in a world that is rapidly changing and no company is safe from change. Educating yourself on your industry will help you stay one step above your competition. Maintain a successful company by being aware of disruptions, pricing, and new innovative ideas. I say fail as much as possible in the beginning, you don’t have much to lose. The higher you are the more costly the mistakes are and the faster you fall.
Engage with similar minded people with the same goals and you will learn much faster. Learning from other peoples’ mistakes will help prevent you from costly business decisions. We need to keep improving ourselves by surrounding ourselves with people that challenge the way we think. If you want to be the best, you need to learn from the best. If you find yourself to be the smartest person in the room you need to change rooms, you need to be around people that will take you to another level and lift up your mindset.
