Introduction

Transportation as we know it is a tool that helps facilitate our journey. Be it trains, buses, cars, planes, even motorcycles and bicycles. All countries almost have transportation as one of the facilities within their countries. For its own history transportation began to be known to have existed since time immemorial when some people saw footage of reliefs carved in stone, where people in the Paleolithic era showed that they were using transportation. Initially it was only a trip on foot, but in addition to walking also assisted by animals that dragged a load that could not be lifted by humans. Of course it is not as sophisticated as it is now.

Increasingly coming here in the modern era, of course, aided by highly sophisticated technological developments also affects the development and quality that is increasingly good for public transportation or private transportation. One of them is in London, England. In the modern era there have been a lot of public transportation and private transportation created. The purpose of this paper is to explain how the conditions regarding public transportation in London and also compare how transportation in London and Indonesia.

Discussion

Bicycle

This bike is perfect for those of you who want to relax enjoying the beauty of London. In London there is a free bicycle called Boris Bike, you can use it in 90 minutes. And if one of you wants to be more satisfied around London using a bicycle. There is a common bicycle rental place called Barclays Cycle Hire. Barclays Cycle Hire was launched in 2010. To rent a bicycle at Barclays Cycle Hire, there are requirements, that is, you have to have a member card, so you can bring this bicycle for rent. But it must be remembered not to use the rental bicycle for more than 24 hours. Because if you don't return it less than the specified time then you will be charged a fine.

Hackney Cabs

This Hackney cabs is a public transportation that is more private than the other of public transportation. This taxi is also commonly used by tourists to surround the city of London. Even some hackney drivers are there who recommend beautiful places in London. Hackney cabs will be easy to find along the way. Therefore, there's no need to worry about finding it hard.

Bus Double-Decker

Double-decker bus is famous as an icon of London. This bus is the favorite transportation of the capital city community. Because it has two levels which allow carrying more passengers. This bus gives very easy access. Almost in every corner of the city of London there is a bus stop. And also do not be afraid to get lost to ride this bus because in each bus stop there will be a special map that will tell you which bus stop will stop. This bus has 8000 fleets and also for its own 24-hour operating hours. And before boarding the bus it is recommended to fill the oyster card first to pay for a bus or train in London. Because if you use this oyster card it will be cheaper than you buy a personal ticket.

Tube

In 2015, this tube already had 11 lanes and could carry 1.3 billion passengers. This tube payment system also uses the same oyster card as the double-decker bus payment system. An oyster starter card can be purchased at minimarkets or stations. This oyster card can be considered as e-money if in Indonesia. This tube can also be said as a mainstay transportation because it is made underground which does not have the additional impact of congestion in the capital city.

DLR/Rail (Docklands Light Railway)

To use DLR transportation, you can also use an oyster card. If the tube / underground is subway, so, this DLR can be called a train on land or a train that is on the ground. Unlike the tube, this DLR runs automatically where there are no drivers in it. So we are free to choose where we want to sit. Of course the advantages in this DLR we can see the sights of London. With this train transportation system mobility is faster than using a bus or private car. The fact is that paying for a car park in London is very expensive. The government there has indeed planned it as one of us bringing its people to switch to public transportation. The cost of parking in London for 1 hour can be charged 4 pounds or equal to 55,000 rupiah

The London Government's Efforts to Bring Their People Go to the Public Transportation

Traffic jam has become a common sight in various major cities in the world. Even in the city of London we know that we have more adequate public transportation. But still there is a traffic jam during rush hour of London. Even though there was an ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) there, which was expensive parking techniques and parking spaces in every place were only 2 hours. When it's 2 hours you have to park elsewhere. You can imagine how complicated parking in London. But what is different from the people of London is that their rationalists do not use private vehicles to travel. They realize the consequences when using public transportation. Increase traffic jams and also expensive parking fees. So the government makes public transportation with more affordable costs that can be accessed by the people. Another government tip is one of London's successes in building public transportation, namely the integration between modes of transportation with one another. The government makes access to one transportation to other transportation very easy with the intention of the government not to forget to provide comfort to its people, which is where people will be more aware of using public transportation than using private vehicles.

Of all the data and information presented, the author considers that transportation in London is sufficient and most of the people themselves have realized that public transportation is more effective than private vehicles.

The Comparison Between England's and Indonesia's Transportation

There is not much transportation in Jakarta like in London. But if Indonesia already has adequate public transportation like London, could Indonesian people realize to switch go to public transportation? The answer is not necessarily. As we know the Indonesian paradigm, most of them are the use of two-wheeled vehicles or what we commonly call motorbikes are the most effective vehicles to break through traffic jams. According to the author, whatever the problem out there is still basically the mindset that is very influential. When the government can educate its people. So the people's insight will be even wider, and minimize the occurrence of rebellion in every solution that the government gives.

Conclusion

From the explanation above, we can conclude that even in big cities like London we can still find the name of traffic jams. But what needs to be admired from the community there is that they have begun to realize without being forced to use private vehicles to travel is not a good decision. It is effective to use public transportation. Why don't we obey existing regulations. Believe the government will do its best to organize the country. We as a community must support that.
