Introduction

The degree of effective communication is, therefore, a principal interpersonal skill and learning how to develop interaction has many advantages. Nonetheless, many people locate it hard to know where to begin. This report sets out the most effective communication skills and how its influences on workplace behavior. As well as the learner will analyze the knowledge, effective negotiation and influencing skills that can affect in the workplace. The theories of Gibbs's reflective model suggest that people to imagine methodically about the activities they had throughout a particular condition. Communication skills include listening skills, empathy, confidence, open-mindedness, respect, and negotiation skills include problem analysis, preparation, leadership skill, teamwork, etc. My previous worked based experience examines here that included lots of experience. Especially I learned how to be a good leader, a good communicator, and a good negotiator and so on.

Communication Skills

Listening skills: Listening skills is one of the communication skills that might affect workplace behavior. To be a great listener is one of the best techniques to be a good communicator. Most of the people cannot interact with someone who regards only about setting in her two cents and they have not enough time to listen to other people. If I am not a good listener, then it will tough to understand what is being required to do. To improve these skills, it is required to take the time to exercise actual listening. Active listening includes giving close consideration to what another person is speaking, asking clarifying topics, and recast what an individual says to assure understanding.

Nonverbal Communication: Sometimes nonverbal communication places a great impact on the workplace. My body expression, eye contact, hand movements, and sound of voice all color the information I am trying to dispatch. Comfortable open space arms open, legs relaxed, and a favorable tone will make me emerge available and will support others to talk openly with mine. My previous work-based experience is essential to obtain the aim of this report. As a food assistant at Subway Restaurant, I served the customer through effective communication skills. Nonverbal communication is also helpful to communicate with others. Eye connection is also essential to interact with other people.

Friendliness: Friendliness is another important communication skills that could influence the workplace environment of Subway. Within a favorable tone, an individual question, or commonly a smile, it will encourage the colleagues to engage in open and frank communication with mine. It is essential to be proper and gentle in all workplace interactions. This is necessary for both oral and written communication. Friendly behavior also attracts the customers and persuades them to make a good relation with the organization.

Confidence: The degree of confidence associated with the state of being specific either that a system or forecast is right or that a preferred course of work is the greatest or most productive. It is always crucial to be confident in my communications with others. Confidence bestows the coworkers that my understanding of what I am speaking and will follow through. Radiating trust can be as easy as making eye connection or practicing a firm but friendly tone. Abstain from making reports sound like problems. Sure, be cautious not to seem domineering or offensive. It ensures that you are constantly hearing and sympathizing with the other person.

Empathy: The concept of empathy suggests that the ability to know or feel what different person is undergoing from inside their framework of source, that is, the capability to put oneself in another's place. Descriptions of empathy incorporate a wide variety of touching states. Using expressions as easy as I understand where you are coming from explaining that have been hearing to another character and value their beliefs. Indeed when I contradict a worker or colleague, it is necessary to know and consider their point of view.

Open-Mindedness: When a person is an open mind, he can impress his client promptly. This characteristic helps an individual to interact with others more easily. It persuades the customer or clients to make a transaction within the organization and make them a loyal customer. An expert negotiator should access into any discussion with a soft, open soul. Be open to hearing to and assuming the other's point of view, sooner just knowing the message across. By being intending to begin a conversation, even with characters with whom I oppose, I will be capable to have more realistic, fruitful discussions.

Respect: Behind every success, self-respect works as a determiner. When I show more respect for other people, they will encourage me to communicate. For instance, people will be more open to communicating with you if you conduct regard for them and their opinions. Easy actions like functioning a person's title, addressing eye connection, and actively hearing when a person talks will make this person think recognized. When a conversation happening, avoid all kinds of disturbances and remain concentrate on the conversation. Represent honor over email by using the time to edit the information. When a sender sends a complex email, the receiver will assume that the sender does not value her enough to imagine into your conversation with her.

Communication Barriers

Physical Barriers: The communication method includes two ways. Physical barriers include the distances between two parties of communication. Sometimes brain drain and environmental influence hamper the communication process.

Personal Barriers: personal factors consist of social values, various judgment, Personal factors like difference in judgment, social values, inability complex, prejudice, nature, the influence of time, disability to communicate, etc. increase the psychological gap within the contactor and the communicate. Honesty gap, for instance, the discrepancy between an individual that wants to do, and the tasks he actually did.

Semantic or Barriers: Difficulties arise when the sender and the receiver use the word which belongs to different meaning or senses. Sometimes same words carry different meanings in a different situation. It's one kind of communication barrier.

Influencing or Negotiation Skills

Problem Analysis to Identify Interests and Goals: Efficient negotiators must hold the abilities to examine a query to determine the concerns of each group in the discussion. A specific difficulty analysis recognizes the problem, the involved parties, and the outcome purposes. For instance, in an owner and operator agreement negotiation, the obstacle or area where the groups oppose may be in wages or profits. Recognizing the problems for both teams can assist to find a settlement for all parties.

Preparation before a Meeting: Another important negotiable skill is preparation before calling a meeting. Before starting an agreement meeting, the skilled mediator provides for the meeting. Collaboration and Teamwork: As a former employee of Subway, I always concentrate on my work and to develop better relationships among other employees. Co-operative behavior always helpful to any organization in order to obtain their goals. Negotiation is not fundamentally one party against another composition. Efficient negotiators must have the ability to operate together as a team and cherish a collaborative environment during consultations. Those included in a discussion on both parties of the problem must co-operate with each other and lead a pleasing solution.

Problem Solving Skills: A good negotiator also has a problem-solving skill. When an individual works together with an organization, sometimes he or she faces lots of problems. To solve the problem or cope up with any situation, a person needs to knowledge about how to handle this situation. Individuals with negotiation skills have the ability to seek a variety of solutions to problems. Rather than concentrating on his final goal for the consultation, the person with these skills can concentrate on resolving the difficulty, which may be a disruption in connection, to advantage both sides of the problem.

I have some notable work experience that will assist me with this job if I am successful. I worked for half a year as a student in a local restaurant named Subway. That assisted me to obtain reliance on talking to the people and further revealed to me that this is a place where I will require to work hard. Then I served for a little while in a kitchen, assisting the cook. That bestowed me the opposite surface of operating in a restaurant, so I can learn the significance of providing the chef with a perfect message with orders. I gathered so many experienced like good communication skills, good negotiable skills, good influencing skills.

I have gathered lots of experience to worked in the Subway that could help me improve my communication skills.

To cope with those of the situation I am trying my best and applied my previous worked based experience. First I actively listening to the problem then I can use simple language and giving constructive feedback to cover the situation.

Negotiation Skills and my Experience

The events of meetings occur when two groups of people oppose on the answer for a difficulty or the object for a plan or contract. A strong negotiation expects both parties to come together and strike out an understanding that is satisfactory to both. To overcome this situation I can apply my negotiation skills like collaboration, leadership skills, and problem-solving skills.

This report aims to present the learners to the fundamental elements of individual and professional improvement skills that supervisors need to improve and maintain an organization successfully. In order to achieve these objectives, this report included effective communication skills like active listening, openness, friendliness, confidence as well as some barriers like physical, personal and semantic barriers and so on. The learner also analyzes different professional improvement skills like problem analysis, preparation, leadership skills, and teamwork and so on. This report I mentioned my previous worked based experience. So it is concluded that the aim of this report has been achieved.
