Say Hello To The Future Of Technological Advancements

When I was 8 years old, I was first introduced to something called the ‘internet’. As a person living without such an ambiguity for the last 8 years, I was completely fascinated about how it exposed us to a variety of new possibilities, to gain knowledge worldwide. I believe that it has completely changed my life and the world's, expanding our apprehension exceptionally. Now, after years of exploring I still have this uncertainty that I have barely scratched the surface of what’s out there. After moving to Canada, a first world and technologically advanced country, I came to realize that it’s not just the internet but the technology it brought along itself is changing our world rapidly. Daniel Bell once said, “Technology, like art, is a soaring exercise of the human imagination. ” I believe that in the next fifty years, technological advancement in general, will have penetrated every aspect of the daily human activity. Many parts of the world will be wired responsive and be interactive, helping humankind in everything from health care to production.

The minor presence of web did nothing, but how it developed truly makes it accessible. Unfortunately, the credibility isn't constantly ensured however the access is guaranteed. From computers to smartphones, these developments enabled us to communicate with anyone with wireless access with just a couple of touches. In addition to this, improvement in communication technology has almost entirely eliminated one of the most crucial trade barrier. Emails, texts, phone, and conference calls can be made easily almost anywhere in the world. Questions and immediate feedback can be received with the help of these developments. These inventions, without doubt, are ultimate tools for communication, socialization, education, business, and entertainment. When used effectively, they can provide us with an unimaginable amount of information and can certainly contribute to the quality of our lives. However, along with them came some serious social, ethical and legal issues such as copyright, cyber bullying and plagiarism. When the digital world is accessed more than necessary and when it becomes more important than the physical world – the effect on human beings can be quite drastic. We should keep in mind that the entirety of that statement completely depends on us. The way we use the technology is also based on our needs and wants. Humans have advanced through the ages with such speed and progression that some electronic device still seem unreal. And yet, many scientists and software engineers say that we are nowhere near the boundaries of technological development. Keeping that in mind, if we ponder over the thought of Artificial Intelligence, we will come to know that it is simply a machine that mimics "cognitive" functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem solving”. However, it is not as simple as that. If Artificial Intelligence was properly developed and used for human needs, there are many jobs including industrialization that could be taken over by AI robots. If robots were designed to perform simple tasks such as house chores in a person’s life then one could focus on more important matters.

AI can be more than just a robot or a machine for us, if we look into at from a way that AI can be used to develop whole new lifestyle, it can be quite literally, a very mind-blowing advancement. Other than AI and internet, one of the most important advantages of advanced technology would be improved health and medical facilities. All over the world, thousands of people die, not because they do not have enough money for treatment but because the technology required for the treatment is not available in their area or city. There are various types of medical technology but the several basic types are diagnostic equipment includes medical imaging machines, used to aid in diagnosis. Examples are ultrasound and MRI machines, PET and CT scanners, and x-ray machines. These are what have already been provided in most developed countries but what we seek is in the future and further beyond what our human mind can comprehend right now. Though, some scientists have begun to look beyond what is possible or not. One of these is Sergio Canavero, an Italian neurosurgeon, who intended to attempt the first human head transplant by 2017, however, no successful animal transplants with long-term survival have yet been made. This is just one example of the many doctors and scientists who have ideas which might seem unreal at the moment but will be quite believable when presented under one’s eyes.

In the next fifty years, many unpredictable changes can occur and sincerre is the element of unpredictability, we can never be too sure about what is being thought upon at the present and what result it might produce in the future. In the next fifty years, further improvements in these developments will eliminate the drawbacks and reach to the point when they help humankind in every aspect of their life. What we need to focus on more is to make sure that all of these technological advancements are in the favour of the entire humankind and not just one race or class, in which case, some quite unexpected international problems might spur up. In any case, all of these technological advancements will only ever be achieved if the world agrees on peace.
