A variety of different foods have shown, many adverse effects on behavior. Dairy is a foods that can have effects on children with ADHD, this is because of hyperactivity and food with dairy products seem to be related to one another. Sometimes dairy can cause: congestion, drowsiness, depression, bloating, anxiety or even the incapacity to concentrate. Dairy does tend to make some people feel unpleasant or bloated from eating it, even though we all love diary it’s not really the best option for our bodies.
Lactose intolerance is a very common deficiency. The deficiency of lactose is an enzyme that is produced in the small intestine. “People with lactose intolerance are unable to fully digest the sugar (lactose) in milk.” For those who are lactose, dairy is harder to break down in the body. As a result, they can have symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, bloating, and gas. Usually this can happen between thirty minutes to two hours after consuming dairy. Nearly all are able to manage the condition without having to give up different foods that contain dairy.
Instead of drinking cows milk, there are many different substitutes. Here are some substitutions soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, rice milk, cashew milk, macadamia milk, hemp milk, and quinoa milk. Different companies also make dairy free cheese, butter, and cream cheese. “Cow’s milk is rich in calcium, which is vital for healthy bones and preventing osteoporosis. Most non dairy milks are fortified with it, so choose one that contains at least 120 mg of calcium per 3.4 ounces (100 ml).”
There are many foods that are being researched for their effects. Dairy is a food that can have many effects on a lot of people. There are many different effects on how you be permitted to act, feel, or even affect the inside of the body. Dairy for me makes me have more of an attitude and makes me feel very bloated. I basically do not act like myself when I eat dairy because of the affects. It’s very hard to not eat dairy because it’s in so many foods, but if you think about it, really it affects all of us in different ways. Most people I know are lactose tolerant, I honestly over time think I might have it because it will bother my stomach a few times. People will still eat dairy though, and sometimes I do as well.
