The Importance Of Trust In Leadership - Research Management Review

According to the survey conducted in Harvard Business School it was found that 69% of the executives said that they don’t know whom to trust. Trust forms the basis of all relationships and interactions. It is just as important in professional relationships as it is in personal ones. A company that is able to create a strong sense of trust in the workplace achieves increased productivity among the staff. This article is intended to focus on how the bond is created that provides the leader with the vehicle for success. Trust is the glue which binds the leader to his followers and provides the capacity for organizational and leadership success. In reviewing the multitude of leadership theories and in discussing the volumes of attributes, steps, and other individual elements that make up each theory, there are many common items but researcher has developed a model there model contain following elements such as Vision, Alignment, and Execution like most other models, there model speaks about multiple activities, including creating clarity, creating a sense of urgency around leadership undertakings, providing the opportunity for dialogue, and being inspirational.

The main objective of this research is to see how trust is important in leadership and how it improve the morale amongst employees and the ability to work more effectively as a team rather than individuals and how trust in leadership reduces the time to make and discuss key issues in the organization.

Research collected and evaluated primary data from different Executives. The research gathered responses based on the questionnaire prepared. The sample size was 460. The study was also based on secondary data which was collected from different magazine like Harvard Business Review, HRM Reviews. This data was useful for supporting analysis which was done on the basis of primary data. It was also helpful for drawing the conclusion.

Conclusion

This article is intended to focus on how the bond is created that provides the leader with the vehicle for success. Trust is the glue which binds the leader to his followers and provides the capacity for organizational and leadership success. This article is literally grounded in the foundation of trust. The foundation of a great workplace is created by organizational credibility, respect and fairness which form the foundation of trust. In conclusion, the trust that leaders place in those they lead allows both the leader and her/his followers to excel. It is not a momentary event but a series of investments over time that truly allows success.
