The Never-ending Controversies Around Eminem

Many have said that Eminem is one of the best rappers out there in his time, next to a lot of other very good rappers in that time frame but Eminem wasn’t accepted right away in the rap game because he was white male he also had blue eyes and most other rappers were African American. With that said, there will always be controversy with everything that he does and says. Who is Eminem? Eminem is one of the best rappers of the twenty first century and is said to be one of the most influential rappers of all time. Eminem is an American rapper, actor and record producer. Eminem was born in 1972 in Missouri. Eminem dropped out of high school in ninth grade and worked very odd jobs. Eminem got picked up by a big raping studio “Dr.Dre” but Eminem worked those odd jobs until he finally made it as a rapper with the release of The Slim Shady LP in 1999, Thanks to Dr.Dre. With that album, The Slim Shady LP Eminem won two Grammy awards and four music awards. A year later from when Eminem dropped the album The Slim Shady LP, Eminem dropped another album called The Marshall Mathers LP it was one of the fastest selling albums in rap history. - When he was a young kid his dad wasn't around and it was just his mom and him. His mother, Deborah Mathers is heard in a lot of his songs as being addicted to prescription drugs and being abusive physically and emotionally to him. Deborah Mathers later tried to sue her son for making “false accusations”- ?. They went to court suing for ten million dollars which was not even close to what she got. Deborah came out with only twenty five thousand dollars.

In the year 2004 and 2005 he had 2 hits on his records called, Encore and Curtain call But it was around this time that he also started to take prescription drugs as a bad thing to just do. In 2007 Eminem overdosed and passed out in his bathroom if he would of gotten to the bathroom an hour later than he did he would most likely of been dead because his livers, kidneys, organs and every thing was shutting down for good but Eminem survived. Then in about 2012 a documentary on how to sell drugs Eminem started to open up on his struggle with abusing drugs. Eminem had latter gotten clean from doing drugs. There is alot of people out there that say Eminems music was better when he did drugs, which I some what agree with but thats 100% okay because he bettered him self from all the negativity in his life. In 2008 Deborah published a book, In that book she wrote that she never exploited her son and that she was a good mother. Another thing she wrote about in her book was that she was concerned about was her son, which in Eminem’s songs he says differently. Maybe try to get something to lead into this topic it is a very sudden change and doesn’t make a ton of sense.

A lot of controversy over Eminem is that he is being homophobic towrds gay people. In the album Kamikaze that was released on August 31st in the 10th track there is said to be homophobic slurs also put a period in the song Eminem targets Tyler The Creator he’s targetting Tyler The Creator. In this song Eminem said 'Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a faggot, bitch/It's not just 'cause you lack attention/It's 'cause you worship D12's balls, you're sack-rilegious,' these lyrics had a lot of back lash from his fans and other people that have listened to Kamikaze. They went to twitter to express how they felt about him saying that. Another reason people were upset is because in that album he targeted a lot of other people in it including Joe Budden. In the song he raps 'Somebody tell Budden before I snap/He better fasten it/Or have his body bag get zipped/The closet thing he's had to hits/Since smacking bitches,' these lines only made people more upset about some of his music.. Some of the comments on Twitter includded “why did eminem call Tyler the F-t word, didn't his career end like 10 years ago”- one person added. Eminem was later interviewed by some people from E-News. He said that everyone said they want the old eminem back, but when he gives them the old Eminem they say that he is too old to say that/act like that, he needs to be more mature for his age. What do they want the old Eminem or the new Eminem rap. With all of this said Eminem is still human and people forget that. Yes, not everyone is going to agree with the way he does stuff or what he says is controversial. Everyone makes mistakes and no one can say they don't but he is still one of the best rappers out there rapping in the beginning and to this day most people that know what real rap is will agree that he is still a very good rapper to this day and his legacy is still going forward to this day. Eminem has won tons of awards and grammys for his music. Eminem has also made millions from being in the rap game so people can say what they want about him but he made enough money and public reputation, so why would he care about what you say. He can say he made it.
