The Pursuit of Happiness - a Heartwarming Movie Produced By Will Smith

A heart touching story about a dad and his son, and through many hardships and difficulties, their strong hope and persistence paid off as they became successful. Will Smith's new movie, The Pursuit of Happyness, is based on the beyond belief true story of a homeless, single father.

The Pursuit of Happiness is a film that, despite having the word happiness in the title, stimulates up an fast and intense amount of sadness in it's watcher. Will Smith gives a powerful and very interesting performance as Chris Gardner, the real life millionaire, who, in 1981, has his life intruded by a huge loss of money and income, hard luck and depression. His self-built business of homemade Bone Density Scanners, which he tries to sell to hospitals, clinics and paying doctors, has run out, and he is no longer making any sort of income from it. And, worse yet, his annoyed wife has decided to finally leave him, and to leave their apartment in San Francisco to chase a better job in New York, but, it is Chris who decides to stay with his young son. Once he loses his apartment, he must find a way to put up with a very hard ife for him and his son, even if it means ending up on the street. The

Pursuit of Happiness wouldn't be anything if it didn't have its well-written, clever and original script, and, of course, the completely and totally striking and excellent performances from it's main cast, with Will Smith and his young son (who was only 8 years old at the time) Jayden, who manage to bring even the unbreakable hearted people into a deep blue mess of sadness and hopelessness, but, when the time comes, the film causes great happiness, and that there is in fact happiness for these two, after all.

Chris Gardner is a cheerful and gifted, but to some extent employed salesman. Life is a struggle for a single father, who found him and his five-year-old son evicted from their apartment in Francisco with no place to go. Even though Chris eventually lands a job as an intern at a prestigious brokerage firm, the roll position pays no money. They must live in shelters and suffer many hardships, but Chris refuses to give in to misery as he struggles, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them. Based on a true story and set in 1981 San Francisco, Pursuit begins as Chris Gardner and his wife, Linda are having difficulties. She works double shifts doing hotel washing; he is trying to sell bone density scanners. When Linda walk out on the family and leaves it behind, Chris remains strong-  minded. He spends six months working in an unpaid internship at Dean Witter, he was so set on becoming a stock financier. He's intelligent enough and very good with numbers, having shown that much by solving a Rubik's cube in front of a Dean Witter broker. As he studies and fights by, barely earning enough each week to pay for meals, Chris is sure he's going to make it.

The strange spelling of the film's title comes from a painting that Chris realizes on the wall outside the day-care facility his son attends. He complains to the owner of the day-care that 'happiness' is mistakenly spelled as 'happyness' and requests it to be changed. The movie took some freedoms with Gardner's true life story. Certain details and events that actually happened over the span of numerous years were pressed into a quite short time.

There are many attitudes, values and beliefs in this movie you could choose to write about; the ones I think that are most prevalent are being homeless is an endless cycle, but you can end this cycle if you work hard enough and never give up trying to overcome the worst and succeed. It was very touching movie it also teaches people a lesson on how fortunate they really are, and you should appreciate what you have. it shows people what it feels like to be unlucky and poor, but also, the rewards you get after a lot of hard work, it really shows the struggles of families with little money. It is heart aching and it will make you walk away understanding the world a little better. It really teaches you a lesson and makes you understand how lucky you are in life.
