Why Homework is Bad or Benefitial

Students' world was shaken after 'No Homework Policy' passed in the House of Representatives and that push the implementation from Kindergarten to Highschool. And me as a student knowing the meaning and the effects of homework or assignment to the student, I strongly disagree to this implementation .

Because, first homework is a set of tasks assigned to students by their teachers to be completed outside the class. Common homework assignments may include required paper works activities reading and writing and projects. And now a days, student don't want to have a homework because their reason is having a homework is having no time in family and other activities. Others might think that this 'No Homework Policy' is favorable among the side of the students.

As a student, I argue that homework is great as it really helps you me as a student to understand the material and get better grades, however, some disagree and say that homework is bad for oneself and creates many health and life problems. Homework should not exist as it creates too many problems with one’s health and life, and would be much better if students has no homework.

Because the majority of students absolutely hate homework and life would be so much better without it. And I strongly disagree to that reason because I believe that assignments really play a significant role in honing responsible and disciplined individuals. Learning doesn't stop at school.

Homework can promote continuity of learning among students. Besides, teachers' purpose of giving an assignment is not to give burdens among them. It is demanded by the K-12 Curriculum. Our teachers are trained educators and know the value of homework. Instead of eliminating homework, why not the parents try to practice responsible parenting which limit the social media usage of their child and addiction in computer games. These bad habits are what really hinders the quality of education.

On the other hand, assigning homework to students cannot go without benefits. Thus, children learn from the early age to manage their time and prioritize work activities. They also are getting prepared to living in a world where they will be required to do some work after working hours. Additionally, there have been positive impact of doing home assignments on school performance, especially in older students. More to that, homework can be challenging and interesting. It can facilitate critical thinking and social skills .

Therefore, it has been advised that the levels of homework should be controlled, and home assignments themselves should be meaningful for students. Homework can improve students' study skills and attitudes toward school, and teach students that learning can take place anywhere, not just in school buildings.

Benefits of homework responsibility. It involve the student in the school process, enhancing their appreciation of education, and allowing them to express positive attitudes toward the value of school success. It develops a student' ability to be creative, responsible and discipline, as well as developing good study habits, develop the skills and attitude toward work and working on deadlines. And if they are proposing that implementation letting the students to feel relaxed, have an interaction and some rest, I would rather ask why not teachers don't have an opportunity to feel the same too. They are always bombarded with endless paperworks .
