The multi-talented entertainer was born as Juan Pablo Martínez-Zurita Arellano in Mexico City on the 29th of March 1996. His parents, Teresa Arellano and Fernando Martínez-Zurita Reed raised him along with two brothers and a sister. His siblings - Paola Zurita and Andrés Zurita are also popular social media personalities but his other brother Fernando Zurita does not seem to have any interest in blogging. During his formative years, his father got an appointment at the Mexican Embassy in the US as a political counselor and he had to relocate with his family to the United States. As a result, the family currently lives in Los Angeles.

Juanpa Zurita graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. He also excelled in field and track events during his years in school. The internet personality has also shown his Philanthropic side in giving back to the society. He is an ambassador of Liter for Light, an organization whose main focus is providing electricity to communities that don’t have. Juanpa Zurita’s philanthropy has reached countries like The Philippines, Brazil and Mexico.

Career

The handsome model and actor started his social media career with the creation of his Vine account where he published content in both English and his native Spanish language. He had already raked in a total of 1.8 million followers by the time the Vine platform was shut down in 2017. Like many other Vine stars, his Instagram account leveraged on his Vine popularity to attract over 17.8 million followers. He has also launched a YouTube channel where he publishes mostly in Spanish.

His career as a model took-off in 2016; since then, firms like Pull&Bear made use of his services at their events. In October 2016, he did a promo for Calvin Klein in Mexico City. By the next year, he was in Paris to collaborate in a fashion show with Louis Vuitton. In 2017, he walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana in Milan for Fashion Week. The talented model was featured on the cover page of GQ Italia in their July-August edition of 2017.

Juanpa Zurita has made several appearances in many television series and movies as well. In 2017, Netflix announced the development of a series on the life of Luis Miguel featuring Juanpa as the singer’s brother, Alex. At the Palacio de los Deportes Mexico, he hosted the 2017 MTV Millennial Awards on the 3rd June 2017 with Lele Pons.
