Motivational Conditions Created By The Teacher As Preferred By The Female Learners

Learners’ motivation is one of the most important aspects of successful education. In whatever level, motivation is a stepping stone for success. Elementary learners are at the most critical time in their education and if they lose the ability or zest for learning, they may never achieve their dreams and goals. By using a variety of learners motivational strategies, parents, caregivers, and educators can work together to ensure children remain focused and on the track for success. A child’s motivation for school and learning is key to understand how to get goals that are accomplished. In table 1, it reveals that motivational conditions created by the teacher for the female learners gained more attention which is revealed by the average weighted mean of 4.41. The respondents are very much aware on the motivational conditions created the teacher.

Henceforth, the following are among the identified motivation. First is to understand the learning problems of the learners which has the highest weighted mean of 4.65.Second is to construct a pleasant and relax classroom atmosphere with the weighted mean of 4.52. This shows that learners need a classroom that is fresh and conducive to learning.

Regardless of the grade, learners motivation is vital to educational success. When comparing learners motivation strategies, it is important to remember that all learners are different and have their own preferred learning style. Sometimes multiple methods are used before discovering the best techniques to improve a child’s motivation. Another thing to consider is paying attention to female learners with the third highest average mean of 4.48. Teacher should not ignore learners seeking attention even they are busy. Considering the fact that it is just a disturbance or interruption to the flow of the lesson. However, this should be given attention.

Moving on, providing ice breaking activities at the beginning of the course with an average mean of 4.39 should be considered. Teachers are being encourage to design and implore activities which can enliven the learning environment. The training or seminars being attended by the teacher are avenue for them to gain new ice breaking activities such as songs related to the lesson in English spelling contest. Teachers may seek the help of the immediate supervisor, school head, master teacher sand co- teachers for ice breaking activities. Moreover, being friendly to the learners has the lowest average mean of 4.13.

According to Ames (2003), is important because it determines the extent of the learners active involvement and attitude and guessing game. Another thing to consider was accepting mistakes as a part of learning process with the average mean of 4.30. Admittedly, English teacher got mad immediately of wrong answers considering that it should not be. It is better to appreciate first before giving comments so that the learners will not embarrassed in front of their classmates. Moreover, being friendly to the learners has the lowest average mean of 4.13.

With regard to motivation strategies concerning instruction, recommends the following: capture leaners interest in the subject matter, highlight to relevance of the subject matter, vary instructional strategies throughout the lesson to maintain interest, plan for the active leaners involvement, select strategies that captures learners curiosity, select strategies and present material with an appropriate degree of challenge and difficulty group learners for tasks, design the lesson to promote students success, allow some learners to control over the lesson, express interest in the content and project enthusiasm, provide opportunities to learn and supports learners to attempt and understand. This implies that learners seek friendly learning environment with teacher. Fortunately, all of the conditions created by the teacher gained the descriptive equivalent of highly preferred. This shows, that most of these six conditions are being observed and applied by the English teachers in grade six.
