Why Cloning Is Bad For Humanity
“Human cloning is deliberate creation of a human life for utilitarian purposes. That life is created simply for researches or for the benefit of another. Any time in history when we have subjected one class of human beings to enslavement by another class has been wrong” Sam Brownback. “Cloning is the process of generating a generating a genetically identical copy of a cell or organism”. Cloning is dangerous something that should not be done.
To start off clones would be treated equally. Even though in the ICCPR International Covenant Of Civil And Political Rights it states that “every human has the inherent right to life the right shall be protected by law. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his life, and it also says that “All persons are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to the equal protection of the law. In this respect the law shall prohibit any discrimination and guarantee to all persons equal and effective protection against discrimination on any ground such as race, colour, sex, language, religion political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Even though these are the law we all know they will be broken, cloned beings will be heavily discriminated and may start another act of what we went through 150 years ago and that should not be repeated, and even know discrimination is far from being completely gone.
Another reason why cloning is not something that should be done, is because it molds a lack into genetic diversity. You see “genetic diversity is so important because it helps organisms to cope with current environmental variability, as well as reduces potentially deleterious effects of close relative breeding. Genetic diversity is also the primary basis for adoption in the face of future environmental uncertainty. Organisms exist in varying environments. ” You see cloning creates identical genes. It is a process of replicating a genetic diversity, we weaken our ability of adoption. Cloning is also detrimental to the beauty that lies in diversity. ” “If cloning occurs successfully, we will have difficulty adapting to this strange, new world we live in. Disease and the lack of growth in evolution will stunt the growth of the human race. The world will exist with clones who have identical genes. The beauty of the world will be no more as the unpredictability of the human race will now become predictable. Every clone will clone will look the same, and the world will become an ideal place for them because of their perfection. The human race will never thrive. Clones will take over, and humanity will become nothing but a distant memory. All the more reason to not clone human beings. Cloning could be away to get a superior race which is exactly what Hitler wanted and could easily happen if cloning is used wrongly, or falls into the wrong hands, which is very dangerous thing to even think about doing.
Third a reason why we shouldn’t clone is because of overpopulation. “The world isn’t big enough. Do you really think cloning more people is the solution”. It’s human against clones when it comes to competing for natural resources. Violence is a potential outcome as well as death in the fight for survival. There aren’t enough resources in the world for the both of us, and everyone will suffer because of scientists’ brilliant idea in thinking cloning is a good idea. The world will turn into chaos. Because you’re fighting for natural resources, the resources will not replenish. Eventually there will not be enough for everyone to survive. The population will suffer either way. It's pointless to create clones when we live in an already unstable world. Adding clones to the mix is only asking for disaster. The world doesn't need clones”. At the moment as we know we have 8. 7 million living creatures on the earth think about the wars that will start. Clones are almost the perfect recipe for disaster to human population.
Lastly we should not clone because it could ruin your reputation. It's something we as human beings are always striving to find. If you were to ever have a clone, your identity could be threatened. You’re no longer unique, and you don't know where you fit into the world. Just how does this clone elate to you? Is it your child, sister or brother? The stress is enough to make you think having yourself cloned was a bad idea. Your clone can make you look bad and tarnish your reputation. Your life will never be the same. It may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but you’re eating your words nw. Cloning is unpredictable, and you don’t really know what you’re clone is capable of. Cloning is cruel not only you the world, but you’re identity. The thought alone of not being unique in your own way can put you into serious depression.
Understanding that there are laws about cloning and that it's against the law to discriminate them stating that “All persons are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to the equal protection of the law. People will still discriminate and hate on them. For example there are laws about killing to people always follow those? No. So why would anyone follow that law. There is always going to be hate and it’s not or may not ever be time to bring clones into the world.
Although there may be some good things about cloning it is not something we should be doing at this day and age. There would be a lot of risks we may want to take but may not be prepared to take. Life is something you should never play around with.
