Why Happy Marriage Is Worth It
In this world’s day and age right now, marriage is a big issue and most people either take it for granted or they are totally against it. Marriage today is such a special thing and today it is worth it. Most of the reasons people think marriage is not worthwhile are just common misunderstandings and really are not true, there are more reasons and benefits to get married than to not. Once you get married, there is a good chance that the person you marry, you will stay with for you entire life. Everyone wants that one person that they wake up every morning and that they are always around and knows them better than anyone. There are also more benefits.
Marriage lowers the risk that you will become a victim of violence, including domestic. “People who live together are still three times more likely to say their arguments got physical (such as kicking, hitting, or shoving) in the past year than married couples.”Violence is another big issue and being more likely to not be apart of it is a very good thing. Another good thing that comes from marriage is if you are planning on having kids then they will lead healthier longer lives because of your marriage. Having kids can be an amazing experience and if that is the choice you make then helping them lead a longer healthier life is definitely what you would want for them.
Marriage also is proven to make you happier. Married people do not struggle with depression, anxiety, and are not as psychologically distressed as widowed, single, or divorced people. Depression and anxiety are both huge issues and not being as likely to deal with them is uplifting and takes a big burden off of your shoulders. Not being as psychologically distressed as an unmarried person is also a good thing that helps you be able to focus on bigger things than your mental health.
Marriage over all makes you happy, and it is better for you than being single and lonely forever. People are often scared of marriage because of divorce but eighty percent of people who get divorced will go on to remarry. “The majority of people who have divorced (close to 80%) go on to marry again.” Maybe the first time they were not the right person but most people have found that remarrying is in their favor and everything ends up working out.
Marriage is better than just being alone forever. It not only makes you happy but it also takes care of many unforeseen issues you could have if you were to not get married. Marriage is worth it. Honestly who wants to be alone forever?
