Elementary education focuses on modeling young children in preparation for future education. In contrast, forensic science focuses on investigating and analyzing physical evidence for criminal court justice. Elementary Education is my chosen career because teaching and serving others stand to be my pleasure. The elementary teachers have the duties and responsibilities of instructing children in primary education and reading to prepare for upcoming learning or education. The primary education teachers' fundamental roles or duties involve developing and editing lesson plans for teaching young students subjects like mathematics, science, and reading. They educate students on ways of interacting with others. They establish and administer classroom rules to educate them on the appropriate behavior and grade pupils' assignments and tests.
Additionally, elementary school teachers are responsible for observing pupils assess their strengths, abilities, and weaknesses. They individually work with the children to assist overcome learning challenges at some points and lastly monitor them when out of class. As compared to other careers like forensic science, elementary education teachers are essentially aimed at mentoring children and assisting them in understanding and applying significant concepts. Elementary teachers use the hands-on strategy to help young children learn how to solve problems, learn how to apply abstract concepts, and establish critical thinking skills for future benefits. Other elementary school teachers specialize in unique subjects like physical education, music, and art to help make children physically fit and develop their talents when at a tender age. According to various researches, elementary school teachers' educational qualifications are a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA, passed a background check, and completed students' teaching program.
Furthermore, they must acquire licensure at the elementary education level for one to teach in public schools. Based on the o*net online, the annual average basic wages for an elementary education teacher excluding special education is $59,670 as of May 2019. The anticipated development frequency for basic education career opportunities from 2019 to 2029 is four percent higher than the average of all other careers. This is evidenced and guaranteed by the rising number of students' enrollment hence demanding more elementary teachers.
This career has related ethical issues that need to be addressed for future employment and job quality perseverance. Based on elementary education, common ethical issues include discipline issues, teacher's choice, social and ethnic diversity, and students' grading. Notably, the teacher's wrong choice for the group of pupils would directly impact the children. This issue needs to be addressed to avoid the wrong propagation of children in society. Indiscipline issues are common challenges in the education sector where pupils should shape their discipline, determining their class performance.
In conclusion, elementary education career requires willingness and commitment. Elementary education focuses on mentoring, evaluating performance, and preparing young children for essential learning, reading, and helping them acquire necessary life skills. Elementary education's annual wage range is slightly higher than, for example, the forensic science technicians, meaning that elementary education is more highly valued here in the United States than investigation.
